   example game: Dark Souls III, although should be almost the same for every game using MOD Engine mods.
   
   Do not start game before doing this.
   
   in game properties, SET LAUNCH OPTIONS,
   type: WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8.dll=n,b" %command%
   click ok
   
   install your MOD
   
   then start game

      Thank you so much for this!  Being Linux under the hood, this is also required for Steam Deck but isn't really talked about from what I've seen.

      i did this and it wont let me open the game still as long as mod engine is in the game directory. and its just this mod engine as honest merchant let me run it fine with this command in the launch options. if you know why this does not work plz let me know

      This works on linux only if you downgrade the game to 1.15
