in the comments a while ago , we've discussed the idea of buffing specific items drops specifically items like ammo , and covenant items you mentioned this requires more testing , and I didn't see any mention of this in the description or changelog
do you think this is indeed possible? and if so , do you have any plans of adding such changes? would definitely love to see covenant item farming for solo play being easier by far , other items could also use a bit of a buff , but that is really open to discussion
I'm already kind of working on it, identifying where all the interesting drops are in the flies. Tedious process.
The testing is in regards to bans since item swapping crafting materials/covenant items typically leads to a ban I'm a bit worried . Buffing item drops should be safe since I imagine the game would still read the item origin as legit but who knows.
Testing for bans is a long process since it's a weekly thing and fun fact, I had set up a few different accounts with different changes to know what's what but all of them got banned after installing that new unused armour mod. Not to say that that mod caused it, just that I'm an idiot and I'm back at square one since I have no way of knowing what did me in.
Ammo drops tho are probably 100% safe so I'll likely include that in the next update.
No problem, I love modding this game. Although now that I think about it, I can't really test bans adequately now that I only have one non banned account so I'll probably release an optional testing version for covenant and crafting items drops. People with family shared accounts to spare who feel adventurous can then do the testing for me.
Expect this in about a week since for now I'm busy trying out bloodborne with the free 7 days of psnow.
take your time just try to keep your sanity , Bloodborne can cause what seems like more rage than the Dark Souls games (at least judging from all of the videos and playthroughs I saw , can't play as I don't have a PS4)
do share your thoughts of the game . really interested to know how you feel about it
Don't even need a ps4 anymore! You can stream it on your PC through Playstation Now, that's what I'm doing. It's not ideal but it works well enough, I'm not noticing any input lag and that's the most important part. It's also only 720p and no dlc but hey take what you can get.
I managed to learn close to nothing about the game after all these years so I'm having a lot of fun. I'm still early in the game and I always knew I'd love it a lot because Souls games are my favorite and I live for the kind of atmosphere that Bloodborne has, but boy does it delivers (to the point that, no joke, I stopped smoking 2 days ago shortly after starting the game, so that I can better put that money toward buying a ps4 and get the real deal, hopefully I can keep that up).
Hard to give proper feedback because I'm still full of hype but I can say that I've already died sooooooo many times after having only beaten the second boss. It's quite refreshing after breezing through even my first playthrough of ds3 (and I want to say ds2 too but I don't really remember). So far just a lovely experience.
