::: KNIGHT ARTORIAS (DaKS1) but its in DS3 instead :::
This is one of the best projects thats ever been created. and this is because we look at every single thing in the souls games, so much that we go so far to make mods for them, like gameplay overhaul, character recreation, weapon moveset reworks, and whatnot.
But this project has a goal, and that is to recreate the Holy knight of the four knights of Gwyn himself, Knight Artorias the Abysswalker.
The lore about him goes as such; He was tasked with a mission to stop the spread of an evil Od known as the Abyss, which, when it takes over a person, it warps their mind and essence, causing them to go mad. Once he had reached Oolacile, Dusk's hometown of golden sorceries, it was too late, the Abyss had already taken over, and he has to go find the mastermind behind this tragedy, who was actually once a primeval human who was tortured in a torture chamber below by the sorcerers of Oolacile, and ended up becoming a father of the Abyss. Once Artorias had reached the bottom, he had to use his greatshield to protect his loyal companion Sif from the Dark. When we get to the fight with Manus, he ended up literally losing the fight but he didn't die, he was spared and he was brought back up to the surface, now corrupted by the same force he was sworn to destroy.
Now, in DS3, his legacy carries over to the kingdom of Lothric, where the Abyss Watchers were born. They were an Undead legion formed to stop the Abyss from spreading. When you encounter them now, they too, like their "master" Artorias, were corrupted by the Abyss, but when one kills the other out of sheer dedication and drive of stopping the Abyss, he welcomes you with a formal salute, meaning they don't take you as having any shred of the Abyss inside of you.
