GNAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!

Did you like [ThePruld]'s video about the various dragon transformations in DS1, DS2 and DS3?
Have you ever wanted to hear the GNAAAAAAAAAH!!!!! when you transform or use the dragon roar in-game?

NOW YOU CAN!!!

Here's [ThePruld]'s video, in case you've never watched it (how come!!!)
(it's in italian but it has subtitles)

(Other people won't hear you scream "GNAAAAH!!!!" unless they also use this mod)

Requirements:

This mod requires you to have extracted the game's assets with UXM (it's listed as a Sekiro mod but it works for DS2 and DS3 too).

You can also use ModEngine but personally I don't use it so I wouldn't be able to help you with it.

This mod will NOT get you banned if you install it with UXM. ModEngine, on the other hand, will get you banned even by itself if you enable online play in its settings. By default it disables online play for you, in fact.

Installation:

  • Extract the game's assets with UXM's "Unpack" button and patch the game's executable with the "Patch" button.
  • Drag the mod's "sound" folder into the game's folder (this one:   C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/DARK SOULS III/Game   )
  • Replace the file when it asks you what to do.
  • Go in-game, grab the Dragon Torso Stone and enjoy.

Uninstallation:

  • Delete this file: C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/DARK SOULS III/Game/sound/fdp_main.fsb
  • Run UXM again and click on the "Unpack" button. It will only extract the assets that aren't extracted already, so it should only extract the fdp_main.fsb file.
  • Done.

Compatibility:

This mod isn't compatible with other sound-replacing mods that modify the following file:

📁 DARK SOULS III
 └── 📁 Game
           └── 📁 sound
                     └── fdp_main.fsb

If you want to use more than one of such mods, you'll have to manually merge them by using the Dark Souls Sound Inserter tool (it's listed as a DS1 mod but it also works with DS2 and DS3).

Enjoy!

P.S. In case you're wondering: [ThePruld] did give me the permission to use his "GNAAAAH!!!" for this mod.
