theres a lot of edits to armor, some of which allow you to go as far as to mimic a ring effect with armor slots. I like how that opens up build possibilities or doubles up on other effects, but some builds don't benefit nearly as much as others do. Ive yet to find armor that buffs magic, or lightning in the way of fire or darkness as an example, and id like to think i did a very good sweep of NG, trying to find as many pieces as possible.
same with a number of weapons, Broken straight sword in this made me cackle with how amusing it is as of now, as a number of weapons have had new elements added to them that spices some up.
my biggest complaint is that I wish Ranged weapons had more benefits out of this. they did get a thing or two (some armor that plays well with them, scaling on some crossbows, slightly more powerful ammo), but for the most part more of the armor changes were impactful for other builds, as they seemed to retread similar code to what already exists. biggest example is the Flynns ring-like effects I found. just like the original, doesn't apply to crossbows or bows, but now theres at least one more possible flynns source, and in some crossbows cases they don't even have scaling to stack up, or scaling at all in some cases. having not long ago completed a run of normal DS2 on a dex ranged build that folded to doing dex melee in the DLCs, I saw the extra power, but recognized just how big the gulf between plausible builds had only gotten.
Definitely an amusing change, but this had me wishing someone reshined the DS2 ranged weapons like others did in DS3, wacky effect or otherwise. still, thanks for making this, i had fun exploring!
I've never been a huge fan of DS2 but this mod is awesome! You've made the game more fun and interesting. I especially love the User Interface changes. Kudos!

Just like the old verison of DS2
Can't tell a difference when creating a new character, but my existing characters all look like sticks.
By editing playerstatusmenu in enc_regulation.bnd
I can do that too, but I do not know if AoiYozora will allow it.
