I just want to say that I love this mod - it has made everything a lot easier for me. I do have one question, though: Has there ever been a recorded ban for simply keeping the files in the game directory? Every time I finish making changes to my build and go online, I always delete the files. Then, when I want to add something again, I put them back. I do this to avoid getting softbanned, but I was curious - is it actually safe to just leave the files there? Thanks for all the work you've done.

Is it okay to add spells or gestures?
  3. Can this mod tool be used to acquire the time limited reskin weapons?

Edit: Yes you can. Very good mod +rep.

This mod does not work in the latest version. It might work, but I can't access the address so I can't be sure.

If it doesn't work for you, then maybe it's incompatible with your version of Dark Souls 2 or you missed something during installation. Or maybe conflicts with other mods if you have them. I play the latest Steam version of DS2 and the mod works for me.

I'm using the latest version and no other mods, I've installed the mods and made sure all the necessary files and folders are in place. There are no problems with the game files.Yet I cannot access both addresses “http://127.0.0.1:8082” and “http://localhost:8082”.

What precautions, if any, are required to access the address?

Not sure I understand your question. No precautions, it's local address, you're not connecting to a remote computer, you are connecting to your own computer. It's safe. The mod shows a message box if it couldn't initialize. If you didn't see any message boxes, then it wasn't loaded. Are you sure you're using Dark Souls II Scholar of the First Sin and not vanilla Dark Souls II?
Another possible problem is that port 8082 is already taken by another program, but in this case a message box should appear.

Can you check that this is correct? Does it really work with just this mod? Are there any other applications or mods you need?
It does not work in both offline and online mode.
Message box does not show up.
      port 8082 is not taken

Your DS2 main menu screen looks differently from mine. Maybe there is another latest version of the game for different regions (guess your is Japan).
Try to download a system tool known as Process Explorer, using this tool you can see the list of DLLs loaded into your game.
On this image below, you can see the difference in Main Menu and also Process Explorer with highlighted DLL (DS2ShopMod.dll):
      https://imgur.com/a/3lNFZs1

If the DS2ShopMod.dll is missing in the list of DLLs of your DarkSoulsII.exe, then it wasn't loaded. If present in the list, then maybe it is incompatible with your version of the game.

It seems to be loading. Is it possible that I can't access localhost if I'm in a different region?

Well, then probably your regional version of DS2 is different and not supported with my mod.
To check that, get SHA-1 hash.
The SHA-1 hash of my DarkSoulsII.exe is F9FA71277CCFA5074FF09BF7263519B577862D83
You can get SHA-1 hash this way:
       - Start PowerShell (Win+X) select PowerShell or from the Start menu.
       - type these commands:
cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dark Souls II Scholar of the First Sin\Game"
      Get-FileHash DarkSoulsII.exe -Algorithm SHA1

and verify the hash code with mine above. If you have different hash, than my mod won't work with your version of DS2.
I was sure  that From Software won't update DS2 anytime soon. So all the addresses I use are static (constant).
Maybe I'll add address search by byte pattern in next updates.

      SHA1: 1CD76F6C2994D341CC1F915A915A9CEB0DF9D1C0F60C
Does this mean it is not supported? Is this string shared if the games are downloaded from the same region?

Yes you have different SHA-1 hash code than mine. Your game version is not supported by this mod.
It seems From Software distributes different "latest" versions of DS2 to different regions.
Is this string shared if the games are downloaded from the same region?
What do you mean? Changing steam-account region or what? I don't know.
I wouldn't change my steam account region if I was you. If you want to add some items to your inventory, there are other ways to do so. There is CheatEngine table on Nexus that allows you to add items and lots of other stuff.

What might the issue be if I have the same SHA-1 but the DS2ShopMod.dll is not loaded?

This mod (DS2ShopMod.dll) loaded using dinput8.dll (SimpleDllLoader) and it's plugin.cfg configuration file.
Possible reasons why its not loaded:
       - dinput8.dll is missing in the game EXE directory.
       - dinput8.dll - belongs to other mod and doesn't load DLLs of other mods. You need dinput8.dll from SimpleDllLoader repository.
       - dinput8.dll is present in the game EXE directory, but plugins.cfg is missing or has wrong configuration. (re-download the mod to restore).
       - dinput8.dll loaded but DS2ShopMod.dll (actual mod DLL) is missing or has wrong path in plugins.cfg file, dinput8.dll can't find it to load into the game process.

If I add items offline and save them, and then go back online, will I get a soft ban?
    I want to add a +10 weapon and a +2 ring, but I'm worried I'll get a soft ban.

As long as you dont make some weapon +11 and above you know things that are unreal its safe to do this. I did this when i wanted wrath of gods with CE and still no ban. But use it at your own risk.

Great mod, works very well! The only complaint I have is you cannot choose the upgrade level for the Pyromancy Flame like you can with chimes and catalysts. It would also be nice if there were an option to automatically spice spells down to the minimum (10/10) requirements so I don't have to run all the way to Iron Keep on a new character.

Thanks for the mod. It's a shame it can't change the Soul Memory of pre-made characters. I'd like to use my first character for online play, but i has 27M (I thought it was like DS1 and DS3, where online play depended on level, and I earned 27M by farming armor).

At least with this mod i can play online with friends now. Thanks

All item functionality works perfect, as well as loading/saving face and body presets, but sadly you cant change already existing character using this mod. If you load previously saved preset before you go to the old hags at the start and try to change the face, your character will have slightly different face. So, while preset functionality is working perfectly, it dont work properly as a face change tool. You can create and save faces but can't change them.

Load saved presets on the character creation screen, not before the old hags. If load before, your character will be reset to default Dark Souls character. On the character creation screen, after loading presets your characters body might not be updated, to force the update you can change character class (knight, sorcerer, deprived, etc.), this will update bodу to proper one.

how risky of a ban to change my appearance?

I can't say it's 100% safe but from my own experience it's pretty much safe. Just before changing your character appearance make sure you're in offline game and then you can change, then go online again. I believe changing character appearance is safe because it doesn't affect any stats or give you any advantages before other players, so likely From Software don't care about it at all.

It is safe to use to obtain the souls of Loyce Knights. I don't want to have to farm the 50 souls

Well I didn't farm the 50 Loyce Knights souls. Once I got there I just killed 50 Loyce Knights, some of them dropped the soul. Then I just added missing number of Loyce Knight souls using the mod. Not soft-banned so far. Killed 50 Loyce Knights, because I think there is enemy kill counter, which is used to despawn an enemy after 12 kills, but not sure if this valid for Loyce Knights, I just didn't risk and killed 50 of them.
If you just need Ivory King armor set, you can add it using the mod, because other summoned/invaded players can drop you armor, so FS won't soft-ban you for that. They can't verify how you obtained the armor, whether dropped by another player during a multiplayer session or not. The only problem with spawning items is undroppable items, they can check your inventory against your current game progress and say if particular undroppable-item available to you or not. For example, you added the "Key of the Embedded" sword to your inventory in early game. This sword is undroppable, no one can drop you this item in a multiplayer session, neither you can buy it. The only way to obtain it is killing Demon of Song boss (late game). And when you go Online game they scan your save file, detects the sword, mark your save file as suspicious, then maybe someone from staff members verify manually and soft-ban you.

Ohhh I understand I understand, And for example for soul farming. I already have the king of the giants at Ng+20 to level up and where I didn't read the description of the Climax curse, I used it and lost about 4 million souls, maybe I'm a little lazy to continue farming from 500k to 500k by killing the giant. The Soul of a Great Hero would also count as if someone had dropped them for me, right? I don't know if it will be good to drop 50 at a time every long periods of time. I want to get 100% and I think there is a skip when you have like 4M or 5M souls

From my experience souls of a X (including Great Hero) are safe to use. Just don't keep 99 of them in your inventory, add and consume quickly. I used to start a new game and add 5-10 souls of great hero to level up quickly and never soft-banned. If you don't want to risk, start in offline mode add 99 souls of great heroes and consume (20000 * 99 is about 2 mil souls).

Thank you very much for the answers! The mod still worked perfectly for me. He had used it to give me medallions of sunlight, about 20 or so. And titanites, I wasn't too sure about using it with large amounts of souls. But when he gave me about 15, I used them instantly. But thinking about it as if someone gave you 99 souls, it is really difficult to get softbanned. I will try to do it that way and to avoid having unexpected invasions, I spent the entire game in offline mode
