I was soft banned after about 50 hrs into my use of the mule, I invaded over a thousand times across many characters. I also handed out many free gifts to new players. I tested whether or not the servers were dead (they weren't) as I made another steam account and found invasions and co-op activities easily when compared to my main account that struggled to find one invasion within 30 minutes.
I used no mods/cheats/hacks during that time - all I used was this save file during those 50 hours. I cannot say that is mule is safe to use. This file will get you banned.
It was surely fun to use! Though I regret using it on my main account. I recommend a steam alt if you plan to use this.
I honestly have no clue, I've always used this mule and never been banned, I still find people on the arena, I still invade anywhere and everywhee specially with the new Wex Dust mod on Dark Souls 2. And well they're literally the same character across the 10 different slots so I don't think It's because It's a different character, I honestly don't know. I've never been banned because of using it.
Necro reply, but I wonder if the second Abyss Seal might be triggering softbans? The creator of the mule added a copy of it for some bizarre reason, but since it's not possible to legitimately acquire two covenant rings (to my knowledge), I could see it flagging the system, especially since it can't be removed from the inventory at all. Alternatively, it could be the 99 stack of Titanite Slabs, as I've heard that can trip it, but that seems less likely.
How is it in 2024 tho, NotKoneko? I've installed the mule but haven't played online due to having two Abyss Seal rings and to my knowledge you can't possibly acquire 2 of the same covenant rings on 1 character. I've discarded other items that were a possibility to give a softban but covenant rings cannot be discard unfortunately.
