Best ENB out there, but you need to close (totally) programs like MSI Afterburner and disable any kind of overlay (like the Steam one). After that, it's fantastic.
Runs well (of course) with a GTX 970, modern hardware can handle the game super easily.
This ENB is totally broke btw, the uploader at the very least needs to fix his V2 Definitive version it does barely anything aside from mediocre lighting, and displays the error message on my every rig I've tried it on from a GTX680-Titan X...it simply DOES NOT WORK AS OF JUNE 2015. Could have been a game update that broke it, but whatever it was if you're considering this ENB, keep looking or try one of the much better supported and working one (or the 1.0 version, but it's nothing like the screens he teases).
So yeah, uploader, it's been almost a year since you even tried to communicate about this ENB here, so either provide a proper install description or remove the totally broken V2 so as not to mislead anybody.
Thanks. Just wanted to properly update the community here on this.
No offense intended, but it's not very cool to leave a broken "definitive V2", leave no proper install instructions, and then abandon any inquiries for help with the error your ENB gives and does not work for nearly a full year. It's just juvenile and not a thing any respectable modder should do, knowing many of them myself as well as many reverse engineers.
I can't get v2.0 to work either. I'm not sure what the problem is.
The game starts up, but only a few of the effects are active (DoF and some slight contrast adjustments). The FPS also drops into the 40s for whatever reason. Otherwise, the game looks exactly the same as vanilla. I'm running this on a GTX 660 so the hardware isn't an issue. v1.0 also works perfectly fine.
I noticed that you have some extra .ini files in your folder that weren't there in v1.0 so I tried deleting them, but that didn't do anything.
d3d9smaa.dll was deleted because the game would not start otherwise.
Perhaps you should add a step-by-step guide on how to install this. As someone who never messed around with those ENB (whatever it is) and other mods, I'm having a super hard time getting this to work, I have no idea what to do first and what dlls you're talking about.
1. google ENB, go to website, go to download section and download DARK SOULS II ENB 2. To make it easier, just place all the ENB files in the dark souls 2 GAME folder. 3. Download this mod, grab all the items from it and put them in the game folder replacing files when asked.
ENB has copyright by its creator. We cannot include it in the mod files since its a violation of his rules, so we just provide you with the mod files and you download the ENB separately. The main .dll file in the END download is what triggers the mods, thus it needs to be there in order for them to work. We just make changes to the settings or in the .ini files in order to change the game.
I hope this helps, if you need more help, let me know.
This is the closest I've seen a mod come to the pre-release graphics. The desaturated colour palette and lighting is perfect. Amazing job.
My only suggestion would be to tone down the depth of field setting. It's way too strong in some areas, which has forced me to disable it completely (the game still looks fantastic, although I'd prefer to have it enabled). A very slight depth of field blur (if possible) would be perfect in my opinion.
Will endorse as soon as I can (I need to wait 24 hours after creating an account)!
try swtiching the settings in the enbeffectprepass.fx. open it with notepad and mess around with the DOF settings. best way to do it is to put your game on windowed mode, and see the changes real time. just make them, press shift + enter in game and click apply changes on the enb interface.
// for auto focus float2FocusPoint=float2(0.5, 0.5); floatFocusSampleRange=1.00; floatNearBlurCurve=10.00; floatFarBlurCurve=1.00; floatDepthClip=10000.0;
// for static dof floatFocalPlaneDepth=1.2;(THIS IS YOUR DOF SETTING FOR WHEN YOUR STANDING) floatFarBlurDepth=150.00; (THIS IS THE DISTANCE DOF, MORE MEANS FARTHER)
press shift + enter and go to the enbeffectprepass.fx sectoin in game and you can put it a lil lighter if its too dark, or simply turn your in game brighntess up while leaving the mod untouched. hope it helps and thanks
brightness and gammacurve. try messing with those. if you want to see real time changes, just window mode your game, open file, make changes and save. press shift + enter in game, apply changes and see the changes while you make them.. hope that helps, let me know
i'm not sure but make a try, delete 2.0 version and install 1.0. and see if work, 1.0 is a lot different from 2'. (i use 1.0, is fantastic) and see if 1.0 work. ps: the error you show in screen i think are normal, i get too, but enb work for me
ya seems like youre missing some files, maybe send a picture of your folder? also the pictures above are from version 2.0 thats why. sorry you couldnt get it working man, good luck

Again, v1.0 works problem-free.
Please make this noob-friendly.
