Haha, I have succeeded! I have completed the production of high-definition Chinese fonts and passed the test! Thank you for your help, thank you very much!! I would like to send you the file and include it under your project, how about it? By the way, I also processed a few XBO buttons in your UI file!
Wow!!!! Congratulations you did such a perfect job! You should send this to FromSoftware haha! Definitely upload it to Nexus :) You can email me the files at [email protected] :)
Discord is a software that has been blocked in China, and if used, it is necessary to climb over a wall (ladder), which is quite troublesome. You said the new DS2LE version is about to be released, which is really good news. If it's convenient, remember to send me a copy!!!
Indeed, I thought it was too simple. After unpacking, I realized that there were too many symbols in Chinese, which would take too much time! Can you provide some ideas, I would like to ask if the DDS texture file does not match the original image position after improving the resolution in Photoshop. Is there a better way to handle this situation, or what software is needed to implement it???????

Haha, Haha, I don't know why it's like this for a living! ! I originally thought that the quickest way would be to directly increase the resolution of the unpacked file and replace it, but there are new problems. High resolution DDS files cannot match, it's a headache!! Have you made any progress with your high-definition Chinese fonts!!
I can’t make the fonts because I don’t have access to the Chinese DDS files or access to a Chinese version of the game. Also, there are so many characters it would take forever to make
Well, looking forward to a good solution! Perhaps all software systems are based on English and adapted to software such as DS2L and iGP11, so they may not be very supported for other languages. I have also tried using IGP to extract Chinese DDS files, which were converted and placed in the "tex override" file. However, unfortunately, DS2L does not recognize the newly added DDS files. I guess the material needs DS2L's dedicated support (a dedicated directory is needed to recognize it)?? So high-definition fonts can be considered a solution. Looking forward to a more convenient solution!! Looking forward to your good news!
I don't think IGP will extract the Chinese DDS files with the correct file name for DS2LE to recognise. Could you send me what the Chinese DDS files are called?
Edit: I have spoken to the DS2LE author and he said only English UI scaling is supported at the moment.
Great UI style, there are many of your works, I have been using them for a long time! Can you provide an idea? In the English version, pressing F1 can directly adjust the position of HUD, and the font can also be changed at the same time (the display font size and position of magic and soul volume). Since I am using the traditional Chinese version, there is a problem where the Chinese font cannot be synchronously scaled and changed after UI scaling (the original font is in a very middle position), which means that the UI and text cannot be scaled at the same time. The original font is really a bit too large and headache inducing. I guess it may be because there is no corresponding Chinese DDS file in the "tex override" package. This is also one of the reasons why I have been wanting your help with making Chinese HUD! In the end, besides achieving high-definition Chinese display, this problem can also be solved together!
I'm really intrested of this mod - I love this clean health / stamina bar! Good job! I always was a fan of the Demon Souls (Remake) Health and Stamina Bar and this mod comes damn close to it I guess.
Just a quick question: How do I install this? Maybe I'm stupid. Haven't modded for a wile. Do I need the UXM Tool or just the DS2 Lighting Engine?
Yeah the DeS Remake was a big inspiration! You just need DS2 Lighting Engine and you put these textures in the tex_override folder in your Game folder. If for whatever reason there's no tex_override folder after you installe the LE, then just make one. Also, once you have LE installed, press F1 in game and set the max texture size to 4096 an change the mode from Overwite to Editor.
I have a mod that supercedes this - my AIO package. Modern HUD beta is just up for archival purposes.
The modern era is content-focused and uses visual hierarchy to better display information, rather than distracting and ultimately useless elements.
I always welcome and enjoy feedback - I typically take into account and reply to everything I read.
But your comment straight up has no merit, insight or practical use, so I'll say this: if you don't like it, don't download it or waste time commenting. You knew what the mod was about just from the thumbnail and title, so why even come to this page at all?
How do you say it is soul less. I have personally known mod author to spend a lot of time on tweaking the minute details of the texture.
you coming and making these comments is soulless. This is a free mod done because he wants to share something with the community. Comments like these are demotivating , if you don’t like something just move on no one is forcing you to use this.
No hate but the commenter is right, the minimal visual design is not supposed to be used everywhere. Design doesn't mean remove elements because it's "redundant", that's a very shallow way of thinking.
We design UI stuff for a good UX AND for it to fit well with the game's artstyle, these modern UI elements just doesn't fit the Dark souls artstyle

Normal display effect in English
