Changed all configuration data to instead to be stored within four JSON files. These can be edited if you want to change how various aspects of the Scrambler work. The interface has also been tidied up and made more consistent in terms of spacing between elements.
The Param Scrambler has been overhauled. The options are now more intuitive to non-technical user, and there are now several options to allow for more granular choice with regards to what should be scrambled.
The Enemy Scrambler has been refined, and it now produces a more sensible result without breaking functionality. You can now toggle which maps to include in the Enemy Scramble.
Several fixes have been applied to the Item Scrambler.
What would I need to do to remove a specific NPC (in this case the Emerald Herald) from randomizing? I tried a few things which seemed to be supposed to do that but it still randomizes every time
I am using the latest version. With full item randomizer and full Enemy Randomizer, including characters. With these settings the Emerald Herald is randomized as well
Edit: I am also using the Ran-door-mizer mod. Don't know if that could conflict here
Ah, using Include Characters will allow the scrambler to move the Emerald Herald again.
If you want to exclude her specifically, you need to open the map.json file in Assets folder.
1. In that file, search for the following line: Character_Generator_List_m10_04_00_00. 2. Below it you should see the following line: 400, 401, 402, 405, // Emerald Herald
3. Add two slashes in front of that line, like so://400, 401, 402, 405, // Emerald Herald
The scrambler will now skip the Emerald Herald even with Include Characters on.
Ok, I freshly downloaded the scrambler and the Example mod, installed it and changed the line you meant but the Emerald Herald still isn't where she's supposed to be. I can't even find her right now which was the reason I wanted to exclude her from randomizing.
I recorded everything I did after downloading if you want to see if I did anything wrong
Just to clarify, does this mean that enemies can be scrambled between the maps you include or just that you can exclude certain maps from being scrambled?
The modengine.ini comes setup wrong for use out of the box. It assumes you are putting the scrambled folder into another folder after making it.
If you follow the vanilla options as I did then don't change the modOverrideDirectory to what it has listed in the instructions. It won't work that way. Change it to: modOverrideDirectory="\Test-Mod-Scrambled"
That works if your scrambled folder is like this: Steam\steamapps\common\Dark Souls II Scholar of the First Sin\Game\Test-Mod-Scrambled
5 hours in, haven't found a single torch after scrambling. Plus you get a billion repeat rings and hero souls all the time. I'd recommend not scrambling enemy drops
When I try to create a new character the game crashes. I can load up any existing ones but I can't create a new one and that is needed for the scrambled things to be loaded... No error message nothing just closes the game and exits to desktop :/ Any ideas

Appreciate the mod.
