Basically just put the mod you're using into the folder you're about to scramble, like Test-Mod provided in the optional file. If it's simple param mod like more equipment durability, simply put ArmorParam.param into param folder in Test-Mod then scramble. And the scrambled files which will actually  be read by the game with mod engine will contain their effects like more equipment durability.

Doesn't seem to work with Lighting Engine

Also, for anyone having trouble getting the mod to work make sure you're only putting the name of the folder after modOverrideDirectory, not the entire path to it. i.e.

    Like this: modOverrideDirectory="\Test-Mod-Scrambled"

Not like this: modOverrideDirectory=" C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Dark Souls II Scholar of the First Sin\Game\Test-Mod-Scrambled"

Can you make a video guide? It's just that I'm from Russia and even a translator can't translate well enough to understand everything accurately. I just wanted to do it on a non-steam version and purely for a regular game but with Scholar, but everything is so painted here that I may not have understood something.Well, or help me and tell me what I did wrong. It seems to have done everything right, but the enemies in Things Betwixt are the same. In the modengine file I wrote everything seems to be correct: The directory from which to load a mod.
modOverrideDirectory="\D:\Games\Dark Souls II Scholar of the First Sin\Test-Mod-Scrambled" The path to the folder test load scrambled D:\Games\Dark Souls II Scholar of the First Sin\Test-Mod-Scrambled
If there is a mistake, I think it's here

    It's here!

This scrambler is still a little raw, but given it exists at all is some kind of miracle, and as a DS2 devotee, it's a delight to dive back into Drangleic.

There are a couple of places where it's possible to lock yourself out of key items - the Scorpion Najka fight, for example, and that item on top of the log in the arena(hell of a place to find a crucial key for Drangleic Castle!), or any of those delectably destructible wooden chests, which can (and will!) contain key items. I'm guessing a Bonfire Ascetic would help to get a second chance at loot like this, but, as with everything in a randomizer, good luck finding one, particularly if you've scrambled enemy loot too.

On that last note, I will advise against using the enemy loot scrambler, as you end up with a plethora of, say, Flash Sweat spells, or Lingering Dragoncrest Rings, or Small Smooth and Silky Stones, and seemingly end up with enemy drop loot in the standard loot pile. I'm not exactly sure, but it might be the case that the one-to-many swap from world loot to enemy loot also in turn creates a many-to-one association- besides Human Effigies procured by invaders, I've yet to find a single one, and I've also never seen the aforementioned Bonfire Ascetic, both of which I know are both world and enemy drops. So, player beware on this one, eh?

Also, if you DO scramble enemy items, think carefully on whether or not you want to use the Covenant of Champions to adjust game difficulty if some creature is spewing out Souls of a Great Hero or something- that Human Effigy you get from invaders becomes an Awestone instead, so be prepared to never see another Effigy while you're a member.

You may end up playing through a large chunk of the game without ever being able to repair broken items or upgrade equipment, since you'll need a key item to access any of the blacksmiths (Fang Key for Ornifex, Dull Ember for MacDuff, Lenigrast's Key for Majula). Get creative!

There's also no logging of any sort, so you're truly on your own to find out where your key items are. It would be nice if there was even the barest of logging to which region key items have been placed.

It's just as much a parameter scrambler as it is an item scrambler, and it's fun to play around with. Think carefully on what you want to scramble here, and have a really close look at the params.json file within the Scrambler folder before you commit, since values are randomized within ranges given within this folder and there's no weighting at all, so the default equipment weight parameter scrambler will make any weapon or armor have some value between 0.1 and 30 weight units, which makes most of it unusable! But maybe you get lucky and the Crypt Blacksword weighs 3.2 units and you scrambled its stamina cost into something pitifully low, and that carries you through much of the game.

Thanks Vawser/Xylozi, it's good finally not to need Cheat Engine to do what every other Souls game has had for years.
