I don't understand how to get param files with Yabber+. When I open an unmodified dcx file, it works, but if I use one that has been modified with Yapped HoneyBear, it won't work and give me an unhandled exception.
Hi, im new to modding pretty much anything. The restore timed exclusive content mod isnt working alsongside the increased durability mod also isnt working. i installed the param and enc_regulation.bnd.dcx from load loose param into the original game and then overwrote the files in that new param file with the mod files but it isnt working. Im playing a pirated version and using igp11 to use "Converted mod pack from GeDoSaTo to IGP11" and "Bloody Gore Souls" and UXM to use "Dark Souls 2 Easy Mode" as well but those are working absolutely fine. Pls help. If I need to send screenshots, a discord would allow me to share them .Also ive made sure to go to the majula mansion basement chest and only found a soul vessel
I find that you can still use DSMapStudio its just that you need to take the individual param files that it creates and put them into the param folder you download from here. Seems to work for me and not cause any big issues.
BTW Thank you for making this! I can now make a ds2 coop mod thanks to this!
Worked for me as well. Actually, I'm starting to wonder if something similar could be done for Dark Souls 3 by just extracting param files from it's data0.bdt file
Can I download this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/darksouls2/mods/1030?tab=description
I'm asking because it calls for a replacement of enc_regulation.bnd.dcx file. And this mod from what I understand replaces that file and also unpacks it into a separate folder. So I'm just cofused as to what would happen If I did this.
I also have 2 other mods that I replaced files from into that Loose Param folder that you provided and it worked perfectly I'm just not sure about the one I linked at the beginning. Feedback please?
You cannot use any other mods that modify the enc_regulation.bnd.dcx file unless they are specifically made to be compatible with this mod. If you tried to use that mod the game would load the param files from that file and ignore the loose files.
You could try to contact the author of that mod and see if they will update it to use this mod and only modify the loose param files.
Ahhh okay. I already asked them and mod author wasnt keeping in touch with modding of ds2 for a long time so no hope. It seems that unfortunately DS2 modders are not that united unfortunately. There's some mods that work well with separate Param Files and then there's a lot of mods that just will not work (which is not helpful because you basically can have only one mod installed then since they're just modyfing the whole file "enc_regulation"). Not too mention there's not a lot of mods for DS2 to begin with which is a shame. But at least I can use your durability mod which is amazing thank you for that.
That's because that mod makes changes to the enc_regulation.bnd.dcx file. The mod author for that mod would need to remove the modified param files and put them as loose files instead for it to work with this. There is nothing I can do about it.
