This should give GW2 fans a chance to use their legendary greatswords in DaS too.

hey,I am new to modding and dont know much about installing them, outside of NMM doing it for me. I installed this, because they all look amazing, but how do I change them? I expected there to be options within NMM,while installing, but there were none.

I realize it's been a while, but I won't let this be the section where it says "Nvm fixed it."

The way texture mods work is by overriding other textures. I'm afraid that Nexus Mod Manager has installed them all, and they are simply all overwriting each other, the most recent one being shown ingame. I hadn't considered using NMM for Dark Souls mods as I see them as easier to install manually, which I would recommend you to do as well. The folders in the .rar hold all the textures for each skin, and simply copy/pasting them into the DSOverride folder should overwrite it.

But anyways, here are my reviews of each of the reskins:

Cosmos: I love the way you gave it that beautiful night sky look. It may not look as faithful to the original MLGS design of the FromSoft franchise as Cosmic Moonlight, but it certainly wins my pick for the best MLGS reskin I've ever seen just from the beautiful contrasts, how strongly it establishes the theme of the design, and just the sheer amount of effort that you clearly put into making this gorgeous design. On a scale of 5 stars out of five, I give this... as many stars as there are on the sword in this reskin

Cosmic Moonlight: This is much more low-key than the Cosmos, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It is definitely the most faithful to the general MLGS design scheme, which definitely wins points in my book. I noted that the core blade color was a muted teal-like color and the aquamarine with lighter shimmers came out in the shine of the blade. Interesting effect, even if the un-illuminated parts of the blade could appear a touch dim from some angles. Hey, it's cool. You probably can't put any glow effects on it with just a reskin, so given what you had to work with, I give this reskin 5 stars out of 5.

Electric Twilight: It has a nice color fade effect, and the way it was drawn goes well with the choice to put the colors on the shine layer and have a dark base color. It creates a pretty cool miraging effect. Wasn't as big a fan of the color scheme being such a departure from the MLGS design scheme, but I'm a purist so this is just my opinion, like everything else I've said. Though that can be a bit jarring with the contrast between that and the aura of the heavy attack's color. I do wish I could find the texture for the heavy attack and mod it to give it colors that fit this reskin more closely. If I do find the files for that I'll let you know. Anyways, this one gets a 4.5 out of 5 from me.

Midnight Bright/Midnight Light: I wasn't a huge fan of these. They look cool from certain angles, but I felt they were generally too dark for this type of sword, and it made it hard to truly bring out the beauty of these ones, even if when you do, they look pretty good, although not as good as the competition. Sorry, I'm not a fan of this one. Overall, I'd give it a 3 out of 5.

Palelight: I think I like this one almost as much as cosmos. Even if the light does make it harder to get the kind of contrast it takes to accentuate the stars in the night skyscape on the blade... I still like it. It's kind of like looking at the night sky near a city where there's light pollution that does sort of shroud the sky but you can still make out the stars. I'm giving this a 4.25 out of 5

All in all, great job. Endorsed, voted, tracked, downloaded, printed out the photos and taped them to my wall to admire them everyday, and all that other fun fanboyism stuff.

MrAwesomest is indeed awesomest. As for what you mentioned about not being able to get the unmoving plaid effect where different angles show different stars, I'd say don't sweat it too much. I'm not entirely convinced that such a thing even CAN be done with MSPaint, though I've seen mods do some amazing things, so I guess that would be a devil's proof. Maybe I'll play around with it a bit if I find time...

Actually, having looked at it from multiple angles... There is almost a... miraging of sorts from the reflective effects. I find this rather fascinating. Also, I tried putting a silver-colored crescent moon in the layer where the blade was dark, and the results were quite fascinating. I got an image that was only visible from certain angles, and shimmered. I would go as far as to say that you probably have one of the ten best Dark Souls reskins on this site.

Thanks a lot for this mod mate, it's just perfect for my new MLGS build, the other textures mod for it seems dull compare to yours =) (midnight light is incredible ingame by the way ! )
