I think there's a difference between hollow and undead. All hollow are undead, but not vice versa. Are you sure all the undead characters (like every friendly NPC) are chosen?
Every undead is chosen but the undead legend is a fabrication that makes it seem like the undead who succeeds in ringing the bells was special when in reality it was just a ruse to get undead to try and kindle the flame.
I don't know if the texture path inside the zip is set up correctly. I had to get the textures in the zip from DATA\dsfix\texoverride\ and put them into the right folder manually because mine is called tex_override.
Textures don't seem to be showing up for me. Is there something I'm missing? I've tried dropping it right in (Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition\ data\dsfix\texoverride) and putting the files into the tex_override folder Dsfix already has.
Edit: Nevermind. Had to go in and edit the dsfix.ini to make textures work. It works great!
It's a great mod! But I have a question... How can I delete the mod and use the original textures? I already turned off and deleted the mod in the Nexus program... And in the hollow form, my char still has the "clean" texture!! Please, help me!
Not sure if you're still having this problem, but since it wasn't answered, I'm just going to for the sake of if someone else has the problem too.
First, go to where DSfix is installed. Depending if you have the Steam version or pirated copy, this location can be either the DATA folder -For Steam users- or just the where the .exe is located -Pirated copies-. Inside there, you will see a folder called "tex_override", where texture mods make their homes. Now, if you have a lot of texture mods, there will be a LOT of files in there, which can make hunting for the textures you want to remove difficult, but if you don't, finding the textures to remove will be a very quick process.
Now this isn't the folder for ALL the textures in the game, only to override, like if you replaced a texture for a Zweihander sword, it would just use the one in that folder INSTEAD of the default one. So don't threat about the entirety of your game if you remove something you think you shouldn't have. The best solution here is to just backup everything before you make any changes in case you have second thoughts. When you're backup is ready, delete the textures you are not so fond of any more, and see if the changes are reflected in the game. If you're happy with the results, do whatever you will with the backup, it's up to you whether to keep it or not.
Hope this helps. Doing this stuff yourself can be a bit of a pain, but will ultimately give you more control, and thusly, the experience you're after.
Do you think it'd be possible to re-name normal face and body textures to the same hollow textures to make your Undead look *almost* human in Hollow form? I like looking human... but I like not being invaded while Hollow.
I tried to make it as human as possible, but there are some additions that cant be changed in the code that darken the skin and area around eyes and such. So i tried my best to make it look human. xD
This is nice, thanks. I don't mind being all creepy when Hollow (it fits the game, really), but it annoys me when going Hollow makes some outfits look weird.

You'd think that "the Chosen Undead" would look a little better (or at least different) than the other shambling Hollows you find in Dark Souls.
So, i decided to make it myself. xD
