Upgrades the textures by 2x (sometimes 4x) using cutting edge AI upscaling. But, conservatively done to maintain the original intent of the texture. So, they are just more detailed, but not radically different at all.
Also adds dynamic shadows to as much of the world as possible without altering interiors or breaking anything visually. Doesn't change any draw params, so it is 100% authentically PTDE.
Installation: Have the Steam version of PTDE (Games for Windows Live version never worked for me, oddly, but YMMV) Install DSFix I recommend using Dark Souls Configurator to change DSFix settings like unlocking the framerate, and setting the resolution, AO, AF, DoF scaling, etc. Unpack your game with UnpackDarkSoulsForModding Unpack my rar file from this mod Copy all of it into your "DATA" folder Overwrite when asked Boom, you're done!
Optional: I do also recommend running the game under Vulkan using DXVK. PTDE is DX9 based and running it with Vulkan makes it a tad smoother to me. Download it here and open the x32 folder and copy the d3d9.dll to your DATA folder
