At first. I thought this mod was the work of a brainless madman, I have to be honest. I've been told about it, and I was thinking "damn, this fucker is either sadist to the bone ore completely clueless about how Dark Souls should be played". Well, I'll tell you what...I've read the mod description, saw you have set the weapon requirements to 0, and I'll tell you what: this mod is really something. I'm not into hardcore challenges, but this allows someone to really build the character they want to play, without any points spent in useless stats (hence INT and FTH for a pure melee warrior or a pyromancer, for example). So I think I will definetely look into it, after I'm done with the Prepare To Die Again mod :D Also, I like the fact you added a version with weapon requirements ;)
I have to be honest, I'm clueless about how Dark Souls should be played. Dark Souls can be played and successfully completed in a million different ways.
Idk, may be someone wants to PvP at SL0? Or coop for Asylum
That was my very first mod and kind of added everything i could. Probably I wouldn't do it now, but since it is already there I'm kind of lazy to change this, since every time you change anything you need to test it.
This mod can be used for more than just SL0 full playthroughs. I would like to do a start at SL0, level up from there, with the item randomizer run. Without the stat requirements removed, this mod would be perfect for that.
As for how it's done. I could use the black firebombs or fists to slowly kill the asylum demon for his souls. Then maybe find a few crushable soul items, and use all the souls to level my stats to be able to use the mace at firelink. Of course, with the randomizer, this may be more difficult, but doable.
Some of us would very much appreciate an optional version of this mod with only the SL0 character portion.
Although a working compromise would be a version starting the player with a weak, boring weapon, and remove the stat requirements for that weapon only, allowing to the player survive, though with difficulty, until they can level to use an other found weapon. I would recommend the broken straight sword, caestus or club.
By the way, I have been able to create a totally zero-level character with cheat engine or save editors before, but then the game lets you level up for free (0 souls cost) until you reach the 80-or-so attributes that your class should have at SL1. Does this mod fix/avoid that problem?
No, since PtDA modifies GameParam.parambnd file as well. You can try to play this with any other mod, which doesn't touch GameParam.parambnd file. Like PermaGravlord, or Item Randomizer.
Wait, if all you care about is 0 stats you can use SL0 alone just to create the character and then replace SL0 mod with PtDA to play with this character. Just take Black Firebombs, or Asylum won't be fun at all...

However you play it - have fun ;)

Is this such a bad decision in your opinion?

The leveling should be usual. Just a bit cheaper since you start from lvl0, not lvl~5.

do i delete it and replace it with your "GameParam.parambnd" or just add your file into it
