Well... I set my AA to FXAA in dsfix.ini. I disabled my in game AA. I set my SSAO to low and VSSAO (the default one). I put the two files and the folder next to my DARKSOULS.exe. I launched the game, without ReShade installed, and I just got the time to see that ReShade 2.0.3 was loading effect before crashing. Where did I go wrong ?
I have failed miserably to make reshades work for DSI and DS3. Im not sure if my computer is f***** up or if Im just simply retarded. I followed your instructions thoroughly, and despite my best efforts I keep getting nae naed by the game
I really like the way this mod looks like, but I have a huge performance impact with it. :/ Without E3FX I get around 34 FPS in 4K with the worst case scenario, but when I enable this mod, I only run around 15 FPS in a good situation. Any advice and I followed the installation instructions. (\รด/)
Wow, you play in 4K? given the limitation of the engine and the fact that even hd texture mods are 1 - 2k because of that, does 4K make a difference visually?
All in all, a very good preset imo, so thank you. Two small details intrigue me : 1st, during the character creation, the AO from Reshade is a bit buggy in your preset, while it's not in others (in this very blue one in particular, which is technically the closest to yours that i've found : http://www.nexusmods.com/darksouls/mods/1138/? ). The top left corner of the screen is ok, all the rest is darkened. As the cinematic intro begins, it's the contrary : there's a retention of the character creation in the top left corner. Do you have a clue? 2nd, your ambient lighting parameters seem to create some striae on some distant sceneries (pretty obvious at the very beginning at the firelink shrine, when looking at the aqueduct, or in the title screen on the Darksouls letters). When i deactivate ambient lighting, it's gone, but strange thing again, when i copy/paste the values from the fore-mentioned blue preset (which has not this "problem"), the striae still persist...
I'm just asking, i think this preset could be the best "natural" one, but those little annoyances...
I'm getting an odd shadow effect in places with this mod active. for example: while running through water I can see a shadow outline of my character running above me. Doesn't really bother me but I would still prefer if it was not there. Any fix for this?
