About this mod

Death of 1-3 heroes no longer means end of expedition.

Permissions and credits
Mod allows to continue game without excessive problems from random "door of death" and lack of available characters in current raid.

But if all permanent heroes die, game will still be over, regardless of number of surviving "mercenaries".

Hero call (conditions):
- have less than 4 characters in group;
- click "skip turn";
- get from 1 to 3 mercenaries.

So far, "graves" are also taken into account in list of occupied positions, but they can be removed without waiting for their usual disappearance by clicking on "skip turn" (command "clean up" corpses is used, as in skills of heroes to eliminate graves of enemies).

At first I tried to add summoning skill, that required too extensive changes for each class.
But "skip turn" mechanic is available to all heroes, initially and almost never used by players. "Very suitable place" for making changes :)

Mercenaries come "as is".
Only for duration of current battle.
With just five starting skills.
With random (initial) perks.
No leveling up.
No items.
No relationship development.
They just come to do their job and go into the sunset.
As befits heroes =)

Known bugs: leviathan
Boss pulls fighter under water, we call full squad, but fighter returns - we have five fighters, leviathan cannot make move.

I tried to adjust the resurrection (resuscitation). Played with settings (like ability to return fallen comrade only if grave has not disappeared yet).
But game still crashed, broke save games, and actively resisted changes in other ways.
I had to confine myself to a temporary appeal.


For objectivity, I will give link to similar creation by another author.
An alternative mod, with much more serious changes in game mechanics (I recommend it for review, so that you can imagine that "this" is also possible :)).
Of course, there is a different central idea (respawn), but the "summon" is also used (albeit in a very... peculiar way).
