Hi! I'm thinking about installing this mod lately, its very annoying how sometimes my characters get mad with each other by some unlucky situation and stuff. I was wondering if, when modding these curse and bless skills. Is it possible to only eliminate the curse skills while leaving the bless skills? or when you mod one you have to erase the chance for the other to appear? Thanks in advance!
hi, i tried to remove the locking effect by assigning the bless tag to the curses, but nothing changed, it looks like it's hardcoded. There is also a point with skill enchant chances, I tried to set the chance to 0 for any enchants, but they still appeared until I set the base enchant chance to 0. It seems that the base chance + frequency of use + chance of blessing / cursing add up, and even removing the chance curses will still occur. I don't like the curse mechanic either, because the negative effect of the relationship is too strong, and the positive one is too subtle, except for the removal of dots. Participation effects remain in this mod, such as participation in an attack, defense, heal with low hp, heal stress, but also negative ones, such as attacking ally or adding stress to him. It would be cool if the developers removed the mechanics of curse/bless skills and remade it completely into the mechanics of participation, it's cool when an ally heals or protects in a critical situation so that relationships are not the basis of the game, but a complementary part.
I agree with you on that, thanks for making this mod too, i'm trying it out while trying to farm candles as i hate sometimes when they make me have to use an skill i dont want to because two characters started mading with each other haha. Asides from that, i guess we can only hope that in the future whenevr mod support comes to DD2 it would be easier to leave only the blessings or curses working.
