For anyone that couldn't get the mod working, follow these steps:
0. Make a back up of the original files and your save beforehand. 0. a-) Make sure you're done with the expedition and killed the boss. Before even arriving to the altar of the hope close the game. Do this so you can know whether the mod will work or not, you wouldn't want to download the mod at the beginning of the expedition spend 8+ hours to beat the expedition only to realize the mod doesn't work and you bricked your save file for nothing. 0. b-) Copy altar_of_hope_rules_data_export.Group.csv and paste it somewhere safe. 0. c-) Go to C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\LocalLow\RedHook\Darkest Dungeon II\SaveFiles and make a zip of the file there. It's name should be random numbers. 1. Rename the the excel file you just downloaded to modded_altar_of_hope_rules_data_export.Group.csv 2. Open modded_altar and your game's altar_of_hope_rules (will be called original_altar henceforth) 3.On the modded_altar select the cells from H of second row to AF of second row (click and drag your mouse without letting go of left click). Copy the selected cells (press ctrl and C at the same time or press right click and select copy). 4. Open original_altar and select the same cells (from H of the second row to AF of second row) and then paste it (press ctrl and V at the same time or press right click and select paste) 5. Open the game, you will get a message telling you your files are corrupted, ignore it. Press continue the expedition (you followed step 0 and defeated the boss first, right?), go to memory selection and check if it's wıorking. If it isn't, delete your save file and original_altar. Paste the copies of those to where they were originally.
This permanently ruined my savefile. With the mod installed theres no memories to select from. Tried restoring my backup csv file, even reinstalled the game. On my main save file i can no longer select memories, but on a fresh save file i can.
Look at the date the mod was released, its been a while and the altar of hope had some updates in the meantime, it's obviously outdated. I'll look into it when I have time.
Always make save backups/original files in case the game fucks up.
Unfortunately, the backup does not help. Just a complete reinstall. I think you should mark this mod as broken and abandoned so other players can't download it.
