This mod aim to rebalance all playable classes of the game and its expansion to date (8th May 2020 - "Color Of Madness" build 24839) so that you can play at a more relaxed pace and with less punishing RNG.
It's based on the work of the mod Powerful Heroes that unfortunately seems not maintained anymore.
I updated every class file to include the latest changes in the game (like on crits triggers and heals over time) so that you don't play a castrated version of an overpowered hero :)
Also, I further reworked some of the abilities. To give a summary:
- Most DoT effects now are causing serious damage in terms of tick or length. Classes that relied on them to deal damage are far more interesting and satisfying to play.
- A good number of skill that were hitting a single target, now hit also an adjacent one (hit % and damage scaled accordingly)
- Every class HP have been buffed substantially so that the infamous two-crit-in-a-row won't kill one of your character outright
- There are more viable healers now, specifically:
- Vestal is the most well rounded healer with decent single target heal and mass healing. Both applying a light stress relief and heal over time as well.
- Plague Doctor retain his fumes and vapours but now offer a strong mass healing over time as his main healing ability
- Occultist have its single target healing greatly buffed, retaining the bleeding mechanics, plus all the tentacle-y stuff
- Jester two ballads buff different stats along with offering a strong mass stress relief or a decent mass healing over time
This changes should allow more flexibility in your party composition instead of being forced with a vestal in the endgame.
As an extra, the most common classes from the fantastic author Marvin Seo, the Falconer, the Lamia and the Thrall, have been supported by simply increasing their base HP and Damage so that they are on par with the rest of the classes.
RequirementsThere are no requirements apart from the correct build of Darkest Dungeon which is the 24839. It will probably work on following versions as well unless Red Hook studios introduces changes that removes functionalities.
If you will use Marvin's mods, remember to load this one before the other mods.
