About this mod

An UI mod that makes your available placement dots for each combat skill (attacks, boosts etc), much easier to see. A blue, red and default template is included, so you can easily choose which one suits you best. I am personally color blind, and while I usually have no problems with this in daily life, it MAY affect this issue. Feel free to drop a

If you have an extremely hard time seeing where your units have to stand to use a particular combat skill, when hovering over the skill with your mouse, rest assured you are not alone in this world.

The pale yellow colour that is used for most of the text, is also used on the unit placement pip dots. While the red attacking dots are very visible, this colour basically blends in with the gray, and for me its nearly impossible to differentiate between the two. I dont know if my "whatevernameithas" colour blindness affects this, but I think most people would benefit from having more defined colours in this area.

After some digging and trial and error, I finally found the relevant file to edit, "colours.darkest". My mod is a simple colour edit, and should not change any other aspect of the game.

Instructions: For simplicity I have put several folders with complete trees inside of my uploaded zip file, so you can just open the folder named with the colour you want, then copy the "steam" folder into C:\Program Files (x86), or wherever your steam folder resides. If you want to manually place it in your game folder, just click all the way down to the "colours.darkest" file, and copy that to your game folder. I have also included the default vanilla file, so if you decide to change back to normal colours you can just overwrite with that one. If you want to be 100% sure, you can backup the colours.darkest file in your "Steam\steamapps\common\DarkestDungeon\colours" folder.

Here is a quick comparison between the different colors:

I hope that some of you may benefit from my work, and that you enjoy this game as much as me!

Cheers!

PS PS: Yes, I know the name and title of this mod is ridiculous. Then again, try to find a better one..... I couldnt.
