How in the sweet hell do you get this mod to work? It looks amazing, but nothing I try gets it up and running. Is just a skin? Is it a replacer? Is it a whole new class? There just isn't enough information in the description for one to understand how the f*#@ you're supposed to install this mod. Please help me, as I truly wish to enjoy this mod in all its beauty, but I can't get get working.
_you download it manually then extract it to your desktop _Open the file you just extract, cut 2 file name " Abomination R " and " Abomination T" then paste it in your game folder which has the adress like this : E:\darkest dungeon\heroes\abomination ( in my case ) _You cut the old " fx " file which already there to somewhere then put the new "fx" file in the rar to the link above _You copy the " abomination.info.darkest " in the rar and paste it in the adress above too. Click all yes _Enjoy the new mod _I try and success
Alright. I think I have a solution. I didn't have the patience to test all of the animations for the abomination's two forms. HOWEVER, by the file structure the game uses. What I did is simply add the skins and ignored the fx (animation) files.
To do so navigate to steamapps\common\DarkestDungeon\heroes This can be easily accomplished by right clicking a steam game and prompting Properties>Local Files> Browse local files. In the \heroes directory you will find the name of each class in game. It follows the syntax of for example; abomination_A abomination_B abomination_C and so on. Simply take the files from the mod, and drop it in the ....\heroes\abomination directory. It doesn't matter if you go from abomination_A to abomination_X abomination_Y abomination_Z The game will switch between all folders seamlessly. However I am not clear if you needed more than A-Z skins for any class. Nor what the expanded syntax is.
This mod doesn't seem to work with the Color of Madness dlc. At least not for me. Any chance it will be updated for the latest version of the game? Edit: Nvm, after repeatedly re-installing the mod it started to work again, for some reason. Not sure why it didn't work after the dlc was installed.
So, I'm not sure if what I'm asking is too obvious but better safe than sorry, since this adds new skills does this means that you can't use the regular Abomination? Or is it more like, I select the Raven Witch skin and the skills change? SOrry for bothering, just want to make sure before I download the mod.
LOL. Never think my abomination skin would help other modders! I also have this idea lingering for a while now, what a coincidence. Writing a fanfic on it actually, with the Heir being the one holding Abom's reins.
