Installation
Extract the contents into the \mods folder and enable the mod in your save file.

Compatibility
This mod is incompatible with any mod that alters the monster info files or the effects file for the base game or any of the DLC. The mod is also incompatible with any mod that alters the heroes' damage stats or healing skills.

Description
This mod removes the random variance in weapon damage and healing skills. Skills will now always deal constant damage, equal to roughly the average of their damage values in vanilla (rounded up).

Stress effects that could miss have also been fixed to 100% where possible, with the values reduced to compensate. Some stress effects, such as the Madman's Doomsay, could not be rescaled to 100% without significantly altering the aggregate result due to rounding, but they have been pushed as close to 100% as possible. Additionally, the Siren's Song of Desire will always succeed in enthralling heroes. I would have liked to reduce the stress-per-turn effect of captured heroes to compensate, but couldn't find it; information is appreciated.

The Horror from the Ghoul's Howl can still be resisted.

A few exceptions were made for healing skills with extremely low variance, where I felt I could not fix the values without disproportionately improving the power of those skills.

Exceptions:
  • The Antiquarian's Fortifying Vapors still varies between 1 and 2 points at rank 2, and between 2 and 3 points at rank 4.
  • The Crusader's Inspiring Cry still varies between 1 and 2 points in its middle ranks.
  • The Plague Doctor's Battlefield Medicine still varies between 1 and 2 points at rank 1, and between 2 and 3 points at rank 3.
  • The Occultist's Wyrd Reconstruction still varies greatly, but the variance has been roughly halved compared to vanilla.

This mod does not change accuracy or critical rates, so battles will still not become totally deterministic with this mod.
