There isn't much to say really. This mod provides a replacement video file that replaces the game's intro video with a blank one. This causes the game to not show the "Bethesda Softworks presents Daggerfall" video that plays between the Daggerfall Unity options and Daggerfall's New/Load Game menus.
FAQ Can you port this to or make it work in Classic Daggerfall?
No, I can't. To make this work in the original game, I would have to convert the video file to a compatible format. The biggest difficulty is that the video stream would need to be encoded using the "Bethesda VID" codec. I don't know of any program that can do this. Even FFmpeg only has support for decoding that codec, not encoding.
What if a mod I already have installed replaces the intro video?
This mod is provided as a loose file so any dfmod package which provides a modded intro video will automatically be overridden. As for mods that distribute their modded video as a loose file, just make sure that the video provided by this mod overwrites any existing videos.
Donations While I don't expect any payments for my mods and have no plans to charge anything for them, any donations will be greatly appreciated. Please see the readme above for ways you can do so, including through interstitial ads.
