Exceptionally good mods IMO (shield and weapon widgets, free rein) Ive added em all to the DREAM recommended mods They are also in DREAM - Mod Compatibility Patch so the assets are in HD DREAM 2025 presets for these mods are included
not really related to the mod itself but how did you get your game to looks so pixelated it looks amazing, it helps blend the environment and the skybox really well
Loving this mod, I wonder could you help me? When I let go of the reigns and look to the side my horse seems to follow my direction... I'm sure at one point before I could look around freely when I did that. But I can't understand what's changed.
You can set an input to none on the toggles not aimed to be used? By typing in none I assume? -nice.
A Very useful and enjoyable mod.
2 minor adjustment details I have noticed.
1. The alignment arrow leans to the right faster than to the left, so it is slightly off center to the right.
2. The Horse when backpedaling with rein held will strafe to the opposite direction than ordered, left from pressing right and vice versa.
PS: Edit, the horse feels much more alive, one almost expects it to raise on its hind hoofs stuck in place for 1.5 seconds when taking it out before a journey, like they would do in anticipation and excitement for beginning a journey. Not sure if it would be unnecessary bloat to implement such excitement after extended periods away from riding.
Love this mod. When I move the mouse more than a few degrees left or right (not pressing any buttons) it seems to gradually slow my forward movement down to a snail's pace, and moving the mouse farther kills it dead. Is this intentional? ex: https://youtu.be/VeOGaF1g_jU Using v1.3.2 with RolePlay Realism's Enhanced Riding disabled.
It looks like you're also moving in the direction of the camera when you look away from the horse direction. May I see a player log from a session where this happened?
..I turned off MOVEMENT ACCELERATION in the advanced startup settings and it fixed both issues. Guess that's what happens when you skip step 1 of the instructions! In my defense, I'm illiterate.
Oh interesting that it was the problem. That was my first thought, but I tried it out and it behaved quite differently from your video, so I thought it was something else. Either way, glad to see its been sorted out.
oh dang, I forgot about HD textures when I added custom texture switching. I'll put up a fix for it in a bit. Probably a Texture Scale Factor slider like in my other mods. Thanks for the heads-up!
UPDATE: version 1.3.1 now has a Texture Scale Factor slider. For DREAM, it should be set to 4.0. Please be aware that the Camel textures do not currently have HD versions.

Thank you RedRoryOTheGlen for your contributions for DFU!
- Make sure Movement Acceleration is disabled in the DFU advanced settings
- Set the Steering Mode in Free Rein mod settings to Mouse and start the game then tap the Change Steering Mode input. See if that helps.
- Maybe the input for aligning the horse to view is being triggered? Try setting the input to None in Mod Settings.
If none of those help, post up the player log. Maybe something inside can tell us what's going on.A Very useful and enjoyable mod.

For R&R, go to the R&R mod settings and disable the Enhanced Riding.
For BRV, this isn't compatible with it so you'll want to pick only one.

UPDATE: Version 1.3.2 should have this issue resolved. Would appreciate it you could confirm it for yourself.
I just updated Free Rein to v1.3 and now my horse's head is really huge:
Also, I can't find DREAM 2025 preset for this mod:
Any help would be appreciated.

I confirm that the big horse head issue is now fixed.
