coming back again to say what a great mod this is! i just had a couple of questions:

would it be possible to limit how far down the player can look while riding their horse? it's really a nitpick, but being able to see your horse's head and neck while looking directly down at the ground breaks the illusion of riding on top of a physical animal (which is of course an issue with vanilla daggerfall and not this mod.)

is there any chance at compatibility with eye of the beholder? at the moment, entering third person on horseback with this mod activated leaves the newly-animated horse head overlayed onto the third person camera view. having the option to toggle the new horse graphic off when eob's third person camera is activated (or alternatively, with a keybind) would be amazing. im not sure how difficult this would be to implement, so feel free to ignore this.

once again, really enjoy your mods!

Hi, I've been meaning to add a better way to integrate with Roleplay and Realism which I believe will limit the camera from looking down too much. But I haven't started that yet. I don't know if its a good idea to let R&R handle the immersive stuff or whether I should add it on my end too so people without R&R can also have those features.

I will look into eye of the beholder when I get time. I think that one might be pretty easy.

I'll let you know when I update the mod with these features :)

Version 1.1.0 now comes with an option for Eye of the Beholder.

I also have an option for Roleplay and Realism, but this still doesn't limit how far player can look up/down when on horse (I wished that the compatibility would let R&R handle it, but I might have to do a PR to that mod's repo or something else to get that working). I will let you know when that is added though :D

yes!! all three mods work great together, i'm thrilled. i'm excited to see what you do next! i'm not sure how difficult it'd be, but it'd be cool if the player looking up/down limit was customizable -- the only feature i don't like about r&r is that you can't look very far up into the sky while on horseback. as it is right now, i'm just really happy to be able to have the horse module, eotb, and your mod running at once.

great mod, the first person view of the horse looks fantastic! for anyone using this mod with roleplay and realism like i am, you will need to disable "enhanced riding" under the enhanced riding section of r&r's settings. otherwise, the first person horse sprite from that mod will be overlaid onto the first person horse sprite from this mod.

Oh wow, thanks for posting this!
Never played with roleplay and realism so I didn't know.
I've added a compatibility section in the mod page that says this so others will know easily :)

Version 1.1.0 now comes with an option for Roleplay and Realism compatibility.

Only this mod's horse texture will be used if that option is toggled, so you can still have enhanced riding enabled. However, not all features from enhanced riding transfer over yet (e.g., limiting how far you can look up/down).

I'm so glad this mod got updated, the thing i hate most about roleplay&realism's enhanced horse riding is that it limits how far you can look but with this mod i missed features like galloping and going slow backwards. thanks for the update, and if you add limited camera please make it toggleable/customizable. great work, thanks for the update!

Best horse riding mod. I miss galloping though. Roleplay and Realism has galloping with shift which is cool. Wish I could use both!

I was planning on making a horse sprint mod before I realized that roleplay and realism existed and already had it. Maybe I can just update this mod to add that functionality rather than making a separate mod? Or maybe a separate mod is best? Not sure.

Could also be a good idea to ask the R&R dev to separate the horse texture stuff and the galloping stuff so people could just disable its horse texture replacement with mine and keep the horse sprinting from R&R?

Ya that would be cool. I realized 2 other good things better about the R&R mod is that you can't strafe fast and can't look down that much. It makes it feel more like a horse. Yours is still good though because of the bob animation when turning. Keep up the good work. I saw someone who is making a mod where the shield and weapon bob which is sick!

Version 1.1.0 now comes with an option for Roleplay and Realism compatibility.

You can now sprint using R&R, but not all features from R&R translate over yet (e.g., limiting how far you can look/down). I will let you know when other features from it can be made compatible with this mod when they are added.
