Thank you so much for your work. I'm having a great time with your mod.
I have two questions:
1. I'm using the Tome of Battle mod, and the attack key modifies it and separates it from the vanilla one. Therefore, there are two attack keys: the vanilla one (which you don't use if you're playing with Tome of Battle) and the Tome of Battle key itself. Obviously, your mod doesn't recognize the Tome of Battle attack key, and therefore I can't attack in third person. Is there any way to resolve this?
2. Can I modify the sprites? For example, take sprites from the fantastic Daggerfall Enemy Expansion mod and make them according to your template to play with a character from the DEE mod?
See if placing EOTB to load AFTER Tome of Battle helps.
Yes, that's basically the intention behind the archive system. Just keep in mind you still might need to credit the source of your sprites if you want to distribute the replacer.
Vanilla Enhanced comes with higher resolution replacers for the EOTB billboard textures. You may have to tweak the billboard scale slider to get them to fit.
Is there a way to force the player's shadow to be mirrored in first-person mode? With the preset from DREAM 2025 V1.1 everything works well, but the weapon on the player's shadow is always in the left hand, probably due to the camera position.
anyway to make it so i can ride in 3rd person with my horse and not see the first person horse head sprite take up my whole screen? cant see a thing with this big ass horse head in my way
Could it be you're using Roleplay & Realism's Enhanced Riding? If so, I'm afraid it draws its own first-person horse sprite and EOTB can't mess with that.
I would suggest using Better Riding View if you want to keep using Enhanced Riding, or disabling Enhanced Riding and use Free Rein instead. With BRW, it's possible to use Enhanced Riding with EOTB.
Good stuff. I really like first person shadow feature but when you are looking down while moving you can see own sprite. Is it possible to fix somehow?
It's an easy enough switch. I was playing around with setting the billboard renderer to "Shadows Only" in first-person to make it invisible, but that prevents it from casting shadows at certain angles, which looks odd at higher FOVs, so I stuck with keeping it "Two-Sided". Can't have them both unfortunately.
I'll see if I can make it a toggle in the upcoming update. Might not be out for a while since it's a pretty big overhaul.
It's already set directly beneath the camera. The problem is that the HeadBob feature offsets the camera up/down (forward/back when you look down) and tilts it around so it becomes more obvious. Try disabling HeadBob in the pause menu and looking again while moving around. There's still a thin pixel line of the sprite but nothing like the image you showed. Unfortunately that's just a limitation of Unity rendering quads that are perfectly perpendicular to the view.
UPDATE: After experimenting some more, I just doubled down on the visible billboard and made it completely visible in first-person lol
I see, but I like headbobing too. Both options are adding immersion. It's shame that you have to choose.
Regarding sprite as I see it's deffinetly not behind camera. Looks like it stands at some fixed point and camera is floating around it, if you are looking down you are seeing this point where sprite stands. Is it possible to remove sprite from this fixed point and move it together with camera so it always will be behind filed of view?
I'm having a hard time understanding what you mean. The billboard is directly beneath the camera like it should be in third-person in order to cast the shadow properly. The updates to the previous comment show how it looks if I offset the billboard to the back of the player.
Do you mean you want the billboard to always be behind the camera when you look up or down?
That would mean your "body" will be tilted up or down if your view isn't perfectly level. The shadow it will cast will be either floating face-down in the air or lying face-up on the ground.
I'll set up a mockup for you if you want. Will update this reply in a few minutes
If you are looking up it doesn't matter, if you will look down shadow probably will be strange but that's better than seeing sprite, if you will look forward shadow should probably be fine. Well, it's just idea - maybe it will work, maybe not.

Glad you're enjoying it!i can get your permision for upload one replacer sprites? i make the barbarian of the mod daggerfall enemy expansion.
I'm also going to ask the author(s) of the Daggerfall Enemy Expansion mod for permission to upload.
Looks much better than what I have in-game which is a thin line where my sprite is when looking down.
Well, it looks very good from that preview. Can't wait.

Most importantly, if you look down slightly while you shadow is visible, you'll see your shadow basically fly into the air.
Also, the shadow will move side to side and rotate if you have HeadBob enabled.
