THIS IS IN THE MAIN DESCRIPTION, PLEASE DO NOT COMMENT OR CREATE BUG REPORTS ABOUT THESE.

    KNOWN ISSUES:
-Some Argonian and Khajiit faces won't fit to the body fully, there will be empty space around the neck. This is not an issue with the faces nor this mod, this is an issue with the necks on those two bodies not being long enough. Currently the pixel height on bodies is hardcoded, so this cannot be fixed. I'm sorry, I hate it too.

-Some faces might be stretched in weird ways when selecting them during character creation. This is a DFU issue, the faces will look correct in-game, don't worry.

-Your race will say (for example) "Redguard (E)" instead of "Redguard" in the character sheet or when a character refers to you by race - this is currently a limitation of Races Framework Redone. I'm sorry it's a bit immersion breaking, but I can't do anything about it currently. Once I am able to change it, I will get an update out.

-Vampire heads are currently not supported by Races Framework Redone. If you become one, your head will revert to one of the base heads. Once
support for them is added, I'll make an update.

I will not make DREAM or Weeb Overhaul compatible versions. Anyone who wants to is free to download the source files and do so, as well as free to upload them without needing to ask for permission.

So, does that mean we have to deal with the added races, and this Race Framework, or is there a way to simply put in the faces we want? I can live with it, but would rather just add in my favorite candidates

This is a very impressive mod and I’m quite impatient to try it, nice job on the restoration!

You can add them as replacements if you want. What you’d do is download the source files, create a folder in StreamingAssets\Textures called CifRci, and then rename the faces (both the png and xml files, ignore the .meta ones) to be that of the corresponding vanilla faces you want to replace, and place them in their own folders corresponding to the vanilla race name. You can look at the replacement Nord face in the CifRci folder in the source download for an example of the file naming convention, and you can download Daggerfall CIF Library here to find out the race names for the folders. https://www.nexusmods.com/daggerfallunity/mods/460?tab=files

(and sorry this looks like a run-on sentence instead of a nice point layout, at work right now lol)

Thank you! It worked as you described, except I am unsure what you meant by "and place them in their own folders corresponding to the vanilla race name". I just copied the example of the Nord from the source download without doing that step, and it worked like that.

This does work in a fashion, unfortunately it looks like it doesn't convert the face into a proper image.  It has a white border around it and is blurry instead of the pixelated look it's supposed to have.

You, or someone else, have any idea how to fix this?
      Thanks!

Sounds like the game is applying filtering to the face, but I’m not sure why as all the files are saved to have no filtering :S

I know how to solve the problem with the neck in Argonians. Just draw a part of the neck on the face, I did it in my HD Face mod.

so is there not a way yet to add these faces to the races face pool so they don't need to be separate races?

DFU doesn't support that, else I'd have done it.

Where can I find the face picture files this mod uses?

What about new faces for npcs? They are very repetitive..

This mod is not for NPCs, only the player. Other mods like Roleplay & Realism and Vanilla Enhanced already do what you are asking.
