Daggerfall Unity - Tristyrick Dungeon Crawl and Graphics Mod showcase
This video documents a rather short Daggerfall Unity dungeon crawl
and its aftermath. My avatar is tasked by Daggerfall City Temple of
Kynareth to retrieve a valuable Talisman held within Tristyrick
Academy (dungeon). He does so, then returns to the City to hand in
his assignment, sell spoils and bank. In the process, I detail some
of my avatars standard practices and showcase most installed Unity
graphics mods. This play-through does not (yet?) use any Unity
game-play changing mods, though some of Unity’s optional settings
are enabled, such as enchanted item repair.
My avatar as beenwith me for years. Created in DaggerfallSetup.exe with most of its
fixes and options enabled, he transferred to Unity sometime during
2019. The transfer was successful, though he lost a Daggerfall City
house stuffed with valuable loot. No biggie, as his bank account
survived intact.
The video neglectsto mention some of his vitals. He’s now level 29, and holds top
rank in the four organizations to which be belongs – Mages Guild,
Fighters Guild, Temple of Kynareth, Knight of the Dragon. He was
deliberately created magically gimped; no magicka-pool multiplier and
low intelligence. He was given just enough qualifications to join the
Mages Guild day-one. He did so, and worked spell-school skills and
guild reputation tirelessly until acquiring enough rank to create
enchanted items. This, plus increased INTEL via level-ups, insure he
has sufficient magicka to survive most any situation. (He wears a LOT
of self-enchanted magicka-increasing gear, some of which is also
enchanted with Item Repair.)
Prior to UnityTransfer he completed the entire main quest (both parts) minus the
very final dungeon. We assume his progress survived transfer but
haven’t yet bothered to verify.
