This does not apply on enemies added by Daggerfall Enemy Expansion apparently ? I set to none the spawn of enemies in the wilderness, I still have enemies from DEX randomly spawning though, and it's not from a random encounters mod
edit : I also have wraiths spawning but they are already present in the base game, so maybe is it Mudex spawning enemies in the wilderness ?
don't remember if this already exists, but is there any mod that disables enemies respawning in dungeons for at least a few in-game weeks/months? nvm the mod im looking for is persistent dungeons
For some reason it's not working for me, I use travel options and warm ashes, even with wilderness set to none I still have enemies encounters. I tried to set your mod high or low in load order but doesn't change the issue
Was hoping there would be an option to increase non rest activated enemy spawns in the wilderness. Besides using the now outdated Wilderness Encounter mod, the wilderness is pretty empty enemies and occurrences are already rare enough.
Yes just like distant terrain... while both mods still work of course they are abandoned, wilderness overhaul is very outdated and could use a memory efficient optimization update along with enemies spawning in the air and on bodies of water. Wilderness NPCs could also use a DEX mod encounter table feed, but it would need a total revamp to use DEX mod enemies. Can't wait to see what the Warmer Ashes exterior/wilderness modules bring, as I have pretty much ZERO desire to ever go into another vanilla Daggerfall dungeon ever again.
Aww. :( I'll have to catch it on my next install, because it sounds like a huge addition to the game for me.
You don't have to answer this as it's kinda off-topic, but if i have a bunch of savegames and mods from an older version of DFU. if i were to install the latest version, copy over the saves and mods (including yours), is it a big deal? I'd hate to start from scratch.
Assuming your current DFU game folder is in drive D: (for the sake of argument), this is how to upgrade in minutes. Create a new folder for DFU 0.16.1 RC (e.g. D:\DFUx0x16x1). Copy over from current version (D:\[current version name]\DaggerfallUnity_Data\StreamingAssets) into new version (D:\DFUx0x16x1\DaggerfallUnity_Data\StreamingAssets) the following: Books, Docs, Mods, Presets, QuestPacks, Sound, SpellIcons, Textures, and WorldData. You will be asked to overwrite some default jpg and readme.txt files, you can say yes or no, it doesn't matter as these remain the same from version to version. Back up the new version's base DFU Quests and BIOGs folders as well as the arena2 folder from the original Daggerfall installation (which I recommend you keep outside individual version DFU folders, else you'll need to also copy it over in the new DFU folder as well) and manually override or add files in them as needed only from the latest versions of the relevant original mods (e.g. Better Default Classes, Stealthy Thief Quests, Warm Ashes etc. - mods that alter quests and/or original Daggerfall installation files). Repeat Reshade for DREAM on DFU executable for the new version but do not use the old reshade executable or old Reshade .ini file given in DREAM. Download the latest version of Reshade from reshade.me website and from KingOfWorm's site place DREAM 2023 - High end.ini in D:\DFUx0x16x1 for convenience, and use that location to find it when running the reshade executable. (The link for the new ini is in the comments section by KingOfWorms, here it is again for convenience: https://mega.nz/file/zrhHXQZI#a0gBNTmWuB0R1erzVXFhzcYu7l2WBz3MGDkjTyfiziI). Hope this helps! ;) Note: if you do not have high end pc, skip the reshade :)

A Warm Ashes version is on its way which might serve more of this purpose.
