All you need to do is open each file, delete all the text and save, then you don't have to click "no" three times to start.

Was wondering since DFU 0.15 around the corner if it would be possible to make this mod a dfmod file rather then have it overwrite the txt files for the main quest?

First of all this is an excellent mod and I'd like to thank you for making it. I really like that I can make Daggerfall into my own solo RPG experience without having to worry about the MainQuest at all. However I've noticed that there is no Orsinium available to travel to. The region is there, but the city with the orcs is not. Does Orsinium as a city only spawn if you progress in the Main Quest or could it be that some other mod I am running is interfering with it?

Must be a conflict with other mod, because I have this and I can travel to Orsinium.

I have a rather weird question just to make sure. If I create a new character and do say yes to get main quests with this installed, will it work? or is the fix to rewritting the files and console commands not just for characters that have already ignore the main quest but also for new ones?

Hi thanx for your mod, when i start game with your mod, without main quest, is it than possible later in the same game to disble your mod and so to start than the main quest? It would be great to delay the start of the main quest in same gamerun without need of a new beginning so to start main quest on demand .

You can, using the "NormalMainQuest" zip that's included. You extract that into the Quests folder to overwrite the changes from this mod. Then in the console, you have to do three commands:
      startquest _BRISIEN
      startquest S0000977
      startquest S0000999

I did that and restored the Main Quest to my game.

      I use DFU 12.3
I intially refused the 3 quests then used this method to start the main quest (startquest the 3 quests you mention via console) and i ended with the main quest activated twice (2 entries of main quest in the quest log and 2 letters delivered).
Do you know if that's gonna be a problem (like having to do the main quest twice, or having quest items spawn just once leading to complete one main quest but failed the other (same with target spawn) etc etc).
Do you know how to avoid that (like not starting a quest, but which one? with what consequences (like broken line of quest)?)
Anyway, i like the fact i can start the main quest whenever i want.

I know someone asked about re-starting the main quest later, but what about the other way around? I.E. I started a character without this mod active, have been playing for a while now (although I haven't touched the main quest), and would now like to remove the main quest from that character.

This sounds interesting, do you lose anything by not doing the main quest? I would happily disable it if i don't lose anything by not doing it.

Not much. There are a couple of artifacts you can get by fulfilling certain requirements, but this isn't like Morrowind or Skyrim where you become ultra-powerful by completing it.

Will the undroppable letters still be in your inventory?

Nope, absolutely nothing from the main quest will be in your inventory. It's as if you never met the Emperor.
