So i'm stumped on the first clue. Based on the previous comments. The locations dont have pips on the world map. And that first clue location is named in the note you have. Theres an implication of a "small" island. I poked around pretty heavily on like 3 of the 15 or so islands around the bay. But I'm not sure if I'm on the right track or just wasting my time tbh.

So far i have solved the first four clues, but i am stumped on the fifth clue.
Perhaps i am too focused on using the method that lead me to the previous clue-especially since you mentioned in your description that the location of the gold itself should be on the map.
Could be that i'll get it soon but i guess a little hint would be nice :)
Other than that, i think the way you did it is quite fair & engaging, great job!
I havent experienced the Bug where the fourth Clue coincides with the Main Quest, however i suppose it'd be easy enough to do either the Treasure Hunt or the MQ first^^

EDIT: I did it, man that fifth clue took me a day or two to figure out but its quite clever, good job! Somehow i also thought that the fifth clue would be the last overall but no matter, i solved it :D Found the treasure, got it all out - yeah! 10/10
I'm having a problem, I did start the quest, read the parchment, talked to the NPC and then nothing happens. He said he would give me an advice but no quest did start and I didn't got any paper either.
I went in the files trying to figure it out and figured there is a DW00202 quest so I try starting it manually and got. startquest DW00202 Quest ID 'DW202' could not be found Do you know what is wrong ? The file DW00202.txt is in the folder, the other quests do work, and as far as I know (not much) I don't see a mistake in the file.
Hi, It sounds like a problem with your DF unity, the reason it is not starting is because it is not starting the right quest name even though you type the correct one. I think unless it registars DW00202, it will not start. I'm not sure how to change that except to try a new install.
If I understand correctly I write DW00202 and the game understand DW202 and doesn't find it ? This is weird if I type the same command for the other quests from your mod it does work just fine.
Perhaps you could try renaming the quest DW202. You will have to do so in the quest file itself to. That can be done with notepad easily. Perhaps that would work?

I tried renaming the file, renaming the quest, copying the file, moving it to Questpacks folder (instead of Questpacks/Treasure Hunt), nothing works.
I am using 0.15.3 Beta if it changes anything.
With a fresh install and only this mod, it does work. Is it more likely for it to be a conflict with another mod or a failure in my installation ? I don't really want to redo all my installation to realize it's a mod conflict.
Random idea : is there a limit to the number of quests in the game ?
Yes, it could be a mod conflict if that md changes a location used in the treasure hunt. What you can do is go back to your old daggerfall and add the mods a few at a time to see if any of them stops it working. I would start with 'smaller main quest dungeons' if you are using it as it does create a problem with other mods/main quest.
I've made a full re-installation and now, your mod works. I don't think I've changed anything I was using so I don't know what the problem was. I just hope I haven't broken another mod.
I love this quest, is really hard, specially when the "small islands" are huge. I'm okay with that... kinda. This mod is compatible with World of Daggerfall?
Do you need to find the location or is it already on the map if you were to just make a new character and start the game? I cant find the first location and i have searched almost every island?
Hi, I'm afraid the locations will never appear on the map (except the location of the gold), the reason is because it would make it easy for someone to just look for new locations that appear on the map. Especially if they were using hidden map locations mod. As for the location, the exact name of the place where the second clue is, is hidden within the first clue.
this mod seems awesome i'm definitely going to start the quest once i'm done with the "whisper of the east quest" and that should conclude my characters story. i took a break from dagger-fall and this has wanted me to get back into it and finish whispers from the east and start this one, thank you :)

Yes it is conpatible with World of Daggerfall. I don't think it will conflict with any mod as it is a simple quest.
