Absolutely love your remade tracks, I'm having some trouble getting them to show up in-game tho for me for some reason.
I've tried both install methods, but I've got a sneaking suspicion it's a casefolding issue, but I'm having some trouble finding the original music files to check the casing to know for sure.

I'm on linux- linux and windows handle their filenames slightly differently.
On windows, you have something called "casefolding" where various ways of typing a character are considered to be the same character on a technical level- so a file named "textures" would be seen as the exact same name as "Textures" or "TEXTURES". So for instance, if you tried to put a "Textures" file next to a "TEXTURES" file, windows would ask if you want to merge because it sees these two names as the exact same sequence of characters, the cases are "folded" into one bit of information.

Linux does not have casefolding, so for us weirdos over here in penguin land "Textures" and "TEXTURES" would only have the capital "T" in common, and be recognized by our OS as a different file with a different name.
Hilarity ensues, I sure you can see how this can become a problem in modding for us when most folks use windows.

Anyway, I can't find the original music files to reference the exact casing! I'm trying to figure out why this mod isn't working for me and this is the best hunch I have, but I cant figure out what precise casing DFunity is looking for when looking for the music files.

I was hoping you might confirm whether the casing is the same in the existing files as your provided files, or if you're strapped for time i could check myself if I knew where the original music tracks were stored.
If this turns out to be the problem, and then it were to be remedied, then it would also ensure more OS compatibility in the future too which is nice.

Thanks ^^ I tried to keep the technical explanation breif and failed, but thank you in advance. I do agree with a lot of commenters that this is probably the nicest soundtrack option available right now, and you did an exceptional job remastering these classic compositions

Yes the file names are identical.

Please let me know if you find a solution. I will add it to the description if there is consistent problem with the mod on Linux systems.

Welp, I figured it out- in a sense?
My OS install was messed up, I had to reinstall my OS for unrelated reasons and I rebuilt my Daggerfall setup this with mod (dmod file is what I used) and... it works perfectly fine!

So I have no idea what was wrong with that old install lol, it had been pretty glitch and off for a while- and after starting over in Nobara the mod works perfectly.
So that's good news actually, my issues were an odd isolated case that probably had something to do with some old bios settings or messed up audio drivers or something, I have no idea, but it woks now! :D
Thanks again for looking into the issue, I regret not just biting the bullet and reinstalling sooner. No issues with your mod at all, it was entirely an issue on my end.

Excellent remaster of music, far less annoying than default shopping.

Simply the best music pack for this game (I also love your music remakes for Doom)
Too bad it gets less recognition than more "popular" music packs that are way worse in every way.
    Go figure.

    Thanks for your work!

Holy... YOU'RE AMAZING, MY FRIEND! I was just preparing to start modding Daggerfall and was a bit disappointed by the music mods when you appeared. I listened to some of your Doom stuff too and you're the real deal. Insta-subscribed to your YouTube channel! It's a shame that you're not way more popular.

Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad you enjoy the music.

I just released the music mod for 'Ultima Underworld Unity' and the next mod will be for 'xu4 - Ultima IV Recreated'.

Speaking of, I downloaded both DREAM and this Mod and I am pretty sure the OST has remained Vanilla.
Is there like a option to switch between Soundtrack Packs or do I have to do some weird coding or file manipulation?

      Edit:
omfg, I just had to unswitch Alternate Music
      nvm
