DET is updated sporadically with new content. The driving force behind its updates is use by other mods. Numerous textures remain unused and thus unseen by the player base. Updates are usually correlated with new mod releases that utilise new content. If you want to see more of DET, that depends on how much other mods utilise DET's textures.
Is the Mac version up to do date? I'm trying to get the latest version but it's apparently still in version 0.36 (or so) and I'm unable to properly render Betony Restored as a result. Might there be a user error on my end, or is Mac version not up to date?
EDIT: False alarm--I realized I had the older and the newer version of this mod in the Mod section at the same time just under different folders, so the older was overriding the newer. Correcting this issue corrected my issue lol, I apologize for wasting your time if you caught this before I edited this.
The total amount of raw files is very small, in the 3MB range. The size of 6MB was accidental due to some unnecessary xmls and from DET-DREAM stowaways.
I'm glad you asked :) I hope people see this message if they have the same question!
As in fact the smallest assets in det are just ~200 bytes big! Most textures are around +/- 3kb big! DFU is glad that asset mods can be so lightweight.
There will be a new update within two weeks. Even if there is no update, new textures are regularly added to the in-dev version. The mod only gets updated on the nexus when a mod is about to release utilising new content.
Using the mod Pure Vanilla Extract with DET causes the banners to flicker when you move the camera, I've tried every possible load order but am unable to fix this issue. Just an FYI for anyone that is experiencing the same issue.

I realised that version 0.5 is 6 366 224 bytes and 0.6.2 version is only 3 897 488 bytes. Is everything ok?

The butterflies, deer, monkeys and gryphon sprite additions look sooo cool!
Thank you for the nice comment!
