Game hangs when I get to the "Load Game/New Game" loading screen. Doesn't quite crash but I can't select anything so have to ALT+F4 out of it. Unusable at the moment
Incredible mod, i was able to decrease the amount of choppiness i encountered after fast traveling to a city on my 120€ potato PC that doesn't even have a graphics card by more than half.
Btw, can someone confirm if i'm right with my assumption that putting this mod at the bottom of your load order is correct? As far as i know at the top it would pretty much only enhance the vanilla game, but not improve on the added content.
DFU 1.1.1 RTX 3080 32GB DDR5 Ryzen 7800X3D 90 mods (DREAM 90s list) Result: Load-in stutter reduced by a factor of 5 at initial testing. This needs to be an integral part of DFU, period. Thanks for the great work!
so in case anyone is wondering, this mod still works on DFU ver 1.1.1 for winblows if youre running on a lower-end PC and/or have a large modlist and are experiencing stuttering from things loading in, spells lagging and passing through enemies, or falling through the map during overworld/fasttravel encounters, give this a shot. just played pretty much all day and never fell through the map once, which is unheard of on my set-up
its crazy that this was never allowed to be implemented into DFU itself a literal must-have-mod for those of us on lower-end rigs
+1 This mod is amazing. I have over 130+ mods installed, and while I've meticulously tested my list to make sure the game runs smoothly, I would get usually get long delays when entering a new building for the first time, and usually when leaving the same place, but this mod basically made that non-existent.
Like the person above me says, make sure to put Lagless at the very bottom of your modlist to get its full use, because before reading their comment I had it somewhere at the middle of my modlist and I instantly noticed a huge difference when I moved it down to the bottom instead.
I run this game under Linux and am wondering if this has an effect with the Linux build? hard to tell as I have a large mod list. I've placed this at the start of load order.
It was made in 2022 for DFU beta, now it's 2024 and DFU has release version 1.1.1, but this thing still isn't outdated! I have noticed significant performance improvement on my save with 170 mods. Game stutters much less, and menus are not lagging anymore. Simply brilliant!

I'll get back to DF one day.
