No he's not, he's just absent. The worst is that imsobadatnicknames. Their mods will break your saves, some of Jons just don't work right, need updates.
I have a patched version on the Daggerfall Forums in the thread for this mod for this + a couple of other additions. You have to compile it yourself though due to the permissions on the mod.
Is it possible to enable overriding the default? For example by holding the associated function key while clicking.
It feels like that would provide a solution/workaround for most if not all future mod conflicts and allow odd pairings for role play purposes (sneaking while talking to criminal contacts in town for example).
When using the sneak/crouch mod, with this, I cannot employ Sneak tactics, or pick locks in dungeons. Also, it doesn't appear to work with the Penwick papers mod. Could this be a load order issue?
Same here, only does it in dungeons though. I can't pick locked doors in dungeons because it only does info mode. Doesn't matter if sneak/crouch mod is enabled or not.
Agree to disagree. I like the immersion of darker dungeons a lot more than what this mod does. I almost never need to switch interaction mode to begin with, so this was a pretty small tweak for me, darker dungeons is the far bigger bang for my buck IMO.
Almost perfect. I wish info mode (the eye) was the default mode (instead of the grab mode) when exploring the cities when there's no nearby objects, doors or people to interact with. I cannot even manually go to the info mode with this mod enabled, therefore I don't think I can use this just yet. I personally use that mode a lot, just clicking on every building I see to reveal them in my map. Sometimes I even use it on people, so I don't have to open the dialogue box in order to know if it's the person I'm looking for.
I'll still endorse the mod! Even if I won't use it for now, you're on the right track and still did a great job implementing this. Keep up the good work, hopefully I'll see this mod back in my game soon. I really like it^^
Amazing! I just tested it and now it's at a state where I can keep it in my game, thank you! :)
Are you going to implement a range check that determines whether speech mode or view mode is the right one when you aim at an npc? After that the mod would be perfect!^^
(I know you said you were aware of these issues and are working on them, but I wasn't just sure if you saw this as an issue/if it was something you're working on)
