I caution people against using this mod without at the very least please make a copy of your entire game folder and put it somewhere for safe keeping. I attempted to install this mod on my playthrough and it is causing an issue that appears to be irreversible. I have chracters walking around my cities that are larger than buildings. I attempted to disable the mod, uninstall the mod, debug using console commands, and start a new save. None of this seems to fix my issue. I'm going to try to delve into the files and see if I can find the scale options myself. Though I'm currently thinking I may have to start from scratch. If this is the case I'll probably just put the game down for a while. Really bummin me out.
UPDATE : I have attempted to delete the mod. I've also attempted to delete my mod settings from the DFU Appdata folder. In addition I removed it from the list in the mods JSON file located in the same area. All of this and the character heights are still messed up. I'm going to do the only thing I can think to do at this point which is back up my streaming assets & save games folders and attempt to re-install Daggerfall & Daggerfall Unity. I'll post another update and let everyone know how that goes...
UPDATE : Attempted to reinstall both Daggerfall & Daggerfall Unity. Coppied my streaming assets folder in an attempt to save myself from having to download and re-install all of my mods as well. I'm giving up for now. I can't really bare to look at it anymore. Too much progress to lose for me to feel like restarting the game now.
Let this be a cautionary tale for all those who find this script. Make copies and backups of everything...
Jeesh. I don't know what you did to install it to get all this hassle, but you can just delete the .DFMOD file by hand if you manually installed, or remove it with your mod manager that you installed it with. New saves wouldn't be affected unless you didn't uninstall it properly. I've never had a single issue with .DFMOD files having lingering effects like that when using Mod Organizer 2 to manage my mods. It's just not possible unless you seriously screwed up either the install or uninstall process.
It's like I stated in my previous post. I did attempt to disable and remove the .DFMOD then create a new save. The new save was still indeed effected for some reason. I know... It's mind boggling to me as well... The mod literally does not exist on my computer anymore, but the issue is still persisting. Today I'm going to attempt to start over completely from scratch. I'm going to delete my entire Daggerfall, all of my mods, all of my saves, everything. Then reinstall it all one by one. If for some reason it doesn't work on this system then I have absolutely no clue what the f*#@ is going on.
I have figured it out! Before starting over from scratch I decided to take a look through my mod list one more time. I disabled HD Enhanced Villagers and poof. The problem I was experiencing is gone. It's unfortunate that I cannot have that mod enabled anymore considering it adds over 1000 different villager variations and makes the game much less visually repetitive. Now that I've isolated the issue though I'm hoping maybe I can somehow resolve it and re-install HD Enhanced while keeping this mod uninstalled.
I had the same thing happening and thought it was another mod (HD Enhanced) when it was actually Villager Immersion Classic, which replaces NPC on horses and can make the NPC too big or difform and stretched when using mods that affect the villagers.
Could there be a feature where we can make ourselves (or the camera in this case) appear shorter or taller than we are? I wanna tower over everyone and assert my dominance lol
Edit: And by that, I mean like a slider (like from 0.7 height to 1.1 height or something camera adjustment)
Breaks my game. When this mod is enabled my camera is completely broken. It makes my mouse up or down make me look up or down like normally, but side to side makes my character fly at mach 11 through any wall or obstacle known to man in a big circle. When it does this it messes up the graphics really bad and puts me out of bounds of the dungeon. This did not occur when I made a new character, but I saved almost immediately after the first rat, restarted and experienced this.
It's probably conflicting with another mod. If you could isolate which is the one, I could warn other users and possibly find a fix for a future update.
I might go and try that at some point and let you know. I'm taking a little hiatus after I accidentally overwrote a pretty far save game with a fairly new one like an idiot. T_T
Yeah, I have the same problem. It sees to work when I make a new character and have no other mods enabled. But loading into a modded save, even when removing all other mods from the mod folder, the camera becomes wonky.
Nothing immediately stands out to me, but here's my current mod list, perhaps it can help pinpoint which one it is:
