mod instructions make no sense. there are two folder and they should go at different levels (one inside the other) so you can't just copy them over otherwise it is very confusing.
Hi. Just wanted to confirm what some others have said before - the pixelated grass only ever kicks in when 'billboard' mode is ticked. Texture override on its own does not seem enough.
Hello, didn't quite get how to install it, I've placed both files at Streaming Assets and the textures inside the ''textures'' archives, but it didn't do nothing. Did I do something wrong?
This mod is amazing, and I highly suggest everyone try it. It literally feels like retro Oblivion except better, and the sprite retextures look gorgeous.
However, two things to note:
- Extract the "Textures" and "Presets" folders into the Streaming Assets folder provided by Unity. Do not duplicate the streaming assets folder within another streaming assets folder or the mod may not work.
- You have to go into the Real Grass mod settings and load this mod as one of the available "presets" (button is in the top right of the screen, click the version you want), otherwise you will only see some of the new pixel textures. The Readme seems to suggest this as optional, but in reality this is required to load the pixelated grass. Make sure "texture overlay" is also checked on the previous screen so you can actually overlay the textures!
Thanks for your comment, though it is not _quite_ accurate.
The only thing to make the original mod load the pixelated textures is to check the "texture overlay" box, which I also wrote:
After installation, go to the Real Grass mod settings in Daggerfall Unity. There, in the "Advanced" section, make sure that the checkbox "texture override" is ticked, otherwise the mod won't load the textures.
Other options can be set to your liking. Once the checkbox is checked it will simply replace the textures, regardless which other settings you have. The two presets are optional. I just made them because I think the options look good this way, but any other combination (except the checkbox) work, too.
Put the "Textures" folder into your existing StreamingAssets folder.
You don't need the presets. These are just my own preferred settings. If you want to use them, put the "Presets" folder also into your StreamingAssets folder.

I could paste some pictures if anyone interested, it seems that only "Real Grass" affected by this shadow glitch
Thanks, mod looks great from the screenshots.
Texture override on its own does not seem enough.
Love the mod, many thanks!
