So I have the mod dowloaded and installed along with some others. None of my other mods should be conflicting with this one. I can't see this one in the Unity launcher for the game. Nexus tells me it's enabled but I don't see it. Does this mod work on version 0.13.5?
If it doesn't appear in the unity launcher, that's because it's not recognized, not because of any kind of conflict. And the reason is certainly because you used Vortex for intallation, and for a lot of Daggerfall mods Vortex unpacks the file in the wrong directory. Look in the StreamingAssets directory, you should find it there. Simply copy it into the Streamingassets/mods directory.
It's really up to the mod authors to pack the mod for a manager or not. you'll see skyrim/fallout authors do this habitually. for Daggerfall Unity the mod author should include the folder structure within (but not including) streamingassets. that would most commonly be /mods but you'll also see /presets or /textures for example. you can check the "preview contents" to see if the mod author included the folder structure.
really really the author should do so, and if they don't they should hid the mod manager download button
The mod is awesome. Still works as of .14.5, but I had to push it to the bottom of the load order. I have a suggestion, is it possible to also increase the swimming carry weight? Currently it seems locked to 62.5 kg no matter what. Any more than that and the character sinks.
I installed this manually for .13.5 and DO see it in the mod menu, but it doesn't seem to actually affect the game. :(
It also appears that there are not console commands to affect carry weight? Double :( :(
Also, maybe I haven't looked in the right place, but I don't seem to be able to edit an ini to change the amount that strength affects carry weight. Triple :( :( :(
Feature request: A 1.333 setting on the multiplier slider, or just a separate toggle button, to increase carry weight to exactly 1000 kg like it was in the original Daggerfall. Similarly, some of the early patches put carry weight at 500 kg, so a 0.667 option could get it there for the more iron man builds. Alternately, a button to switch the default to 1000 kg, then letting the slider multiply that value would allow more precise values in multiples of 100.
As another alternative, you could double the number of steps on the slider, allowing increments of 0.05, then set the slider to always be multiples of 1000 kg. The default would then be 0.75 on the slider (750 kg), and both 1000 kg (1.00 on the slider) and 500 kg (0.50 on the slider) would be doable without additional settings.
Currently, a value of 1.3 gets me up to 975 kg, while a value of 0.7 gets it down to 525 kg. Both are close enough, but it would look prettier with the original amounts.
Don't know why, but after uninstalling, reinstalling, uninstalling, reinstalling, it now works. i also uninstalled the no dice mod, maybe these two conflicted?!
Hi, thank you both for the report. Dvdevlin, were you also using no-dice mod?I will need to download no-dice and review the code.I override the encumbrance formula. If no-dice does as well, only the last update will remain. Thanks A
Hi, I couldn't find a forum thread so I am posting here. Hopefully it will be a quick and simple fix for you. I'm assuming that it's just the change in the way formula are overridden now that prevents the mod from working in 0.10.15. See pull request #1642 for more details. If you need any help give me a shout, as my mods were really easy to adjust.
Much appreciated, my friend! Limited carry weight is something that I always despise in games, so it's great to have a remedy for that in Daggerfall Unity as well.

Edit: Scratch that. Today two days later the mod just randomly stopped working. Not sure why. Tried disabling, removing, reinstalling. No dice. :/
