For some reason with Limited Quests setting enabled all quests from the refreshed batch just fail to start. I did all the available quests from previous batch.
    Disabling Limited Quests fixes this.

From the refreshed batch? Could you please clarify what you mean?

My feedback for version 1.1.2 (about "Bugfix for guilds running out of quests").

With a current save, where Limited Guild Quests was on :

    • Good news is I had quests again ! (Fighters' Guild notably)
    • But I had 13 quests listed :P (my limits are set to 3, 5, 7).

I currently turned on (it was off when I tested) "Avoid repeating same guild quests" : will tell you in a few days if that function seems to works.

Keep in mind that the quest limit sliders only work if this check box is checked:

Yes, hence why I wrote "where Limited Guild Quests was on".
That is why I wrote the feedback.

I just tested this with both the Quest Picker enabled and disabled, and the setting worked correctly in each case and in multiple guilds. Could you please provide your mod list, logs, and precise steps to reproduce the issue?

It might work if I turn it off and on I presume (to be tested).
The steps was just updating the mod and the settings were already on (except the "Avoid Repeating" which was off).
Before the update, the Fighters' and Mages' Guilds no longer gave me any quest.

Mod list and order: my Mods.json file.

Which log files to you want ?  Player.log, the DFU save files ?  Here is the most recent Mods_quest offer locations.txt from a hard save where the setting was already on, but the mod updated (my Quicksave though does not have that data at all, but works fine as stated in the follow-up below).

FOLLOW-UP : since I turned on "Avoid Repeating" yesterday when logging off, it seems the mod's settings are now applied properly (I presume).  The guilds, in the "hamlet" where I am now, offer me 5 quests each (my limit for "town" is set to 5).  It works in both my Quicksave and the hard save (the file above).

Hey, that's good to hear. I love bugs that resolve themselves. Does it also work correctly without Avoids Repeating? I mean it absolutely should and has been playtested by others, but often there are still edge cases that get missed.

After turning "Avoid Repeating..." off, a save I made after updating I believe, gave me 8 quests at the Fighters' Guild, but 5 with that setting on.  My limits are set to 3, 5, 7.

Good catch. You actually wouldn't have been able to perform more than 7, but the QuestPicker wasn't updating correctly to show only 7 quests with Avoid Repeating Guild Quests disabled. Here's a test build that fixes this issue:

I'll give it a few days for more bug reports and if nothing crops up I'll send this to Maca.

I just want to know if this will show me where in a city a guys house is? I have this iron katana to deliver and I am running out of npcs to kills for not giving me directions.
Also why are all the npcs racist against bretons?

Although their behavior of not being nice to me might be because of my 11 in per.
    ......
    naaaaaa. definitely racism.

My nord with 14 per is also experiencing such racism. I knew I should've been a redguard, instead.

You may know this, and maybe are just joking, but folks still often refuse to answer to Redguards.

My Redguard has 60 Personality and 20 Etiquette/20 Streetwise, and the majority of people do not answer my questions.
      Using Blunt dialog (Streetwise), etc.
That said, you need a minimum of Per for people to answer you at all.  There is a minimal requirement from what I read in DFU, but you can gain reputation with common folks, increase Streetwise, use a spell/magic items to boost Personality and skills, etc.  And you can (or must) just find the door/house by looking at all the doors.

Anyhow, no this mod does not alter any of this nor mark the map.

I don't know where the issue lies, but version 1.1 I have problems viewing the full list of quests that guilds offer at a high reputation, limiting them only to 4-5 quests. When installing version 1.0, I can see the full quest list again with all the same mods.

This is an optional feature (Limit Guild Quests) to limit the number of quests you can get in any given location. You can turn it on or off in the mod settings:

I updated the mod to version 1.1 once more and toggled that setting on and off again and that seems to have resolved the issue of number of quests populating. However, with the setting off it is still limiting the quest number to 10. With version 1.0 I have 12 available quests with The Dark Brotherhood, however, with the setting off and with 1.1 I have only 10.

That's interesting. Can you try with the 1.1.2 test version below, and all settings turned off? And if there are still a couple of quests missing from the list, can you identify which ones? That might help diagnose if there's an issue worth looking into.

it seems like the settings that toggle features on or off don't do anything, all the parts of the mod are always on for me even if they are not enabled in the config.

Downgrade to version 1.0.0 from 2023. It doesn’t have the limit guild quests or the repeating guild quests options, but I think the prefer nearby quests option works.
Try it at the bottom of your load order. Works best for me

Here's a test version that should fix this bug and adds better location reporting. If no new bugs shake loose I'll send it to Maca :)

Fixed two bugs: one prevented quests from raising your factional reputation on completion, and the other broke Prefer Nearby Quests.

Any possibility of adding an 8-directional indication in the text as well? E.g., 5 days travel to the southeast. Would be super handy for taking on multiple contracts that roughly align with each other.

When using with DREAM, the specific location arts behind your character on the inventory screen are not working like they should (you don't see the tavern/dungeon fonts anymore for exemple).

That's a problem with DREAM. Using DREAM with any mod that overrides UI windows (like this one) can result in the problem you have outlined. I suggested a fix for that a long time ago but not sure why it wasn't implemented.

Is this still busted with Dream? If so, is there any workaround or anything?

Will you please make a patch for Dream? If KoW does not add to his mod, then it seems reasonable you can.

I've been using this mod with DREAM without any problems ... the character backgrounds appear as they should in the inventory/character sheet pages and everything seems to work fine ... or am I missing something?

My set up is DFU 1.1.1 + DREAM 2024 v1.0 + Quest Offer Locations v1.0.0, with Quest Offer Locations after/below DREAM in my load order.
