I like the concept and what the mod brings to the table. I agree that lycanthropy is OP, and I like the mechanic of losing your gear when shapeshifted. Although, his mod takes it over the top when forcibly blacking out on full moons, and I wish this feature was toggleable.
I'm using climates and calories with travel options, and most full moons are a death-sentence as I wake up naked and shortly freeze to death. This problem is elevated if you want to play the game by avoiding fast travel, which is a good way to experience what "world of daggerfall" brings to the game.
This is a great mod! At first I was hesitant with the whole risk of losing gear. But at the end of the day, not using this mod as a lycan makes the game way too easy and I get bored fast. Would be nice to see toggles for the various options. Another thought is use the original stat bonuses but they are reduced by your portion of a certain level like 50. So level 10 would be 1/5 of the stat bonuses.
Hi! First of all, love the concept for this mod. It's frankly insane how much of a direct upgrade lycanthropy is in base Daggerfall, even without transforming. The whole concept of werewolfing/wereboaring as a panic button move is great, and I love the small stat boosts you still retain without being actively transformed.
I do have some issues, though. After arriving in town through fast travel, my character was instantly informed that it was full moon, I had transformed and all my gear had dropped. Then, after a second of standing around and getting my bearings, my character blacked out, presumably lost control and awoke elsewhere, still without my items and now with all my magic items broken. I travelled back to the town I was in when I first transformed (where the original pile of items should have still been) but it had despawned. So I basically lost my current inventory, all items and all gold, because I fast travelled at the wrong time. Is this intended behavior?
After fiddling around with the save I had made right before travelling, the only way I found to not lose everything was to throw everything in my inventory into the wagon right before initiating travel. This is a really silly and cumbersome workaround, and I wish I didn't have to do it.
Honestly, this is a combination of how terrible the game is at informing you of moon cycles and that this mod was created with the intention of using Travel Options.
as far as I know, I do not have mod access to stopping fast travel if a moon cycle will happen during travel.
Ah, that's a shame. Thanks for your response, though! I'd somehow missed Travel Options was a mod, I'll look into it if it helps solve the issue I mentioned. I'd much rather deal with slightly less convenient travel than have to disable your fantastic mod
This mod is freaking amazing roleplay as f but i do wish i had the option to be in full control always as wearwolf and that my clothes didnt drop just unequip and get damaged unless i am reading the mod wrong ?
Fair point, Vampires are Vampires, they don't change into themselves after all.. :D Just that, They're immune to Iron and Steel.. Lycas are not now like they used to it seems.. :/
