Very nice mod, especially for ppl like me who don't want to mod the game a lot.
Starting from scratch (clean 2.01) I just did : 1. install redscript (simple copy paste in game folder) 2. install this mod (same process). 3. Playing - success.
Thanks for uploading the redscript version. Was surprised to see so many people also wanted it to default to the data tab, since I could barely find any discussions regarding it online... which worried me enough to think CDPR was never going to add a toggle for it themselves lol.
I don't really make mods so I was worried I'd have to figure out redscript once I saw all the comments on my page, figured if the people commenting were anywhere near as annoyed as I was by the change their suffering was legitimate lmao
The change post 2.0 was driving me a insane, was really hoping it was a bug but looking at the script it looked intentional T_T
I'm glad you didn't have to learn redscript! Even though I literally only changed one line, I did 2 hours of testing to try to make the 'double-tap z button' feature only a single tap. Eventually I gave up and called it good enough.
You can use Notepad++ to edit the file, line in the // SETTINGS section. Lines can only be translated at the end of sentences! Then Google or Yandex translator.
An example of a fragment of translating mod strings into Russian: @runtimeProperty("ModSettings.mod", "Улучшенный сканер") @runtimeProperty("ModSettings.category", "") @runtimeProperty("ModSettings.displayName", "По умолчанию вкладка «Данные"")
The data window that appears when scanning will no longer default to the "Hacking" tab rather than "Data". Instead, it will now remember which tab was open last.
Indeed, a pleasant surprise when I read the 2.11 patch notes! Thank you for your service, 'Scan Mode - Default to Data Tab (non-REDmod) 2.01', and thank you for saving my sanity during the 2.xx scanning days! It was an honour having you! o7 :P
The game after the 2.11 still doesn't work the same like this. Only a couple times, but not always. After some time it defaults to hacking it seems. Maybe I need to start a new game for that, or maybe it is because I used this before and we shouldn't uninstall mods like in Bethesda games? Am I seeing things and it actually work? Who knows?
