Any idea how I could make it so that instead of left bumper/shoulder, the activation key for quick weapon switching is holding d-pad up? I don't need the toggle scan feature. Thank you.
Is there a way to switch up R2/R1 // L2/L1 for combat & vehicle settings? I tried to do it on steam but the problem is, the game doesn’t allow to switch it so you end up having R1 & R2 for shooting as an example… Is there a way to mod that for combat & vehicle settings?
I need this so bad. In my time of playing, I always used R1/L1 for shooting / ADS and now I don’t want to relearn that, because of one game…
Awesome! Maybe it’s actually doable with the steam controller layout but then you have to somehow change the ingame bindings for these keys in certain files. I’m not an expert, never modded myself so. It’s just my thinking 🙈
Keeping your Layout: steam://controllerconfig/1091500/3048341274 and then just switch up the R1 / R2 // L1 / L2 would be amazing.
Swap it there too pls if possible, so you drive with R1 / L1. R2 for radio / Shooting, L2 for Scan & ADS while in vehicle combat.
Is it possible to recreate your weapon switch for holding L2 then?, So it would be L2 Hold for Weapon Switch ABXY, L2 normal press for toggle scan. L1 for ADS, R2 for grenade and R1 for shooting.
If you are using xbox controller, then LB toggle scan is conflict with hold LB + ABXY weapon switch, it will make LB + RB not working. But i assume you are using ps controller, just go with the normal toggle scan and bind 1234 to touchpad swipe without causing any issue.
lol okay. I uploaded a new file, same with ‘Toggle Scan for Alternative Weapon Switch’ but also swap all trigger and shoulder for combat and vehicle. Cyberware seems unchangeable so it'll remain L1 + R1. All seems fine after a quick test.
Perfect, thanks a lot! For ADS i changed it to double press L1 so i have both options with the hold L1 with X/square/triangle/circle. Hold L1 + X even works with changing between cyberware arms, so good! Vehicle weapon combat is a bit tricky but i just have to get used to it. Double press L1 is driving backwards, aiming is soft press on L2 and when im pressing further the scan opens up.
Is it possible to make Right Thumbstick button as dodge and the crouch as B? Not being able to customize controls to compensate for a handicap is probably the thing that bugs me the most about this game. (From the alternative controller setup on Xbox controller)
Very cool idea but I'm wondering if it would solve the problem I had of finding a way to quick-melee now, since they added it to scan, but not scan toggle. I liked it better in the Legacy patch when quick melee wasn't tied to scan.
interesting. i kinda did something similar with reWASD except i have it set to pressing LB and A/B/X/Y at the same time will press the keyboard equivalent 1/2/3/4. i have to press the buttons within 15 ms of each other, i could make it more forgiving with your mod for making scan a toggle instead but not a huge deal lol.
