Why would you stop your great contribution halfway? Your "FOR MODDERS" guide is just trial and error to figure out... no wonder there isn't much of it (contribution of your mod) - If an article wasn't your cup of tea then a simple video would've been helpful.
Well, my part is done. Whenever I try to explain something I make it sound more convoluted than it really is and I discourage people. That's not something I'm comfortable with.
Also I have never done actual JADE clothing myself, because that part requires a different set of skills, I do not have. Namely 3d graphics.
I talked to many people about this, and some of them seemed willing to make some sort of a tutorial on JADE, but they never did, for many reasons. And I understand them.
Absolutly, I agree that video tutorial would be great, but it won't suddenly make rigging easy and available for everyone. It's still pretty advanced stuff, and most modders prefer to stay within their "comfort zone", instead dealing with some physics enabled shenanigans, haha. We have DISCO, who is making some really great stuff with JADE, and it makes me happy.
I will try to implement this into another person's mod, over the next weekend, let you know how it turns out, I am not very good with designing stuff, but I can try to implement stuff into other project and let you know! Cant wait for the full release and for people to implement this
I am following this project of yours looks real cool! Have been looking for longer skirts, but as of now, it seems most are just weigted version of suit pant legs... Thanks for working on this!
We will see. I hoped to get some actual clothing modders to make models for clothing items, but such people are rare and overloaded with work (actually making models from scratch takes a lot of time and effort). And I see now that people actually like my placeholder thingy, haha. The biggest issue I have with it is clipping, and I simply lack 3d skills to fix this.
Is this for photomode only or does it work during gameplay? Also is there a possibility for a mod that works with other clothing items like coats? Would be cool to watch as your coat goes behind your back as you slide during combat.
Ever since I found out that this was planned and then scrapped, I've been waiting for something like this. (There is for instance a yukata(simple/basic kimono) shop in the game, that only sells the top half)
I don't think it was planned. They had amazing cloth physics for the main character in Witcher 3; in CP77 there are some physics enabled clothes, just not for V. Probably they just decided not to implement this since the game is 100% fpp, and they decided it's not worth it performance-wise.
