I am using this mod, "Increased Level of Details Distance - Draw Distance" and "Improved Environment LODs" mods at the same time. I always run out of vram with 4080 2k resolution with dlss quality. Are they compatible? Even when i use performance versions, is it too much?
what issues are you having? i'm using all three of those mods also and vram rarely hits 15gb even in crowded areas which should be within the limits of a 4080.
I've tried using this mod but it causes black patches and blurs on characters. Not sure what the issue is. Should this mod be at the bottom of the load order?
How heavy is this mod on resources? As from my testing on a 4090 (24GB OC) it takes aprox 10 - 12% of VRAM, this is quite a lot (if you consider that some people are having 6,8,10,12 or 16GB of VRAM.
Also (during my test with this mod) ... there are lots of mini stutters like literally everywhere (i might be having lots of mods tho) but this happens only when adding your mod.
Are there any incompatibilities of some king with other mods as the Archive Conflict Checker Tool its not even listing the mod!
I felt I should chime in on this. After considerable trial and error, I figured out that this mod was responsible for an up to 20% lowering of performance on my PC. Not all the time, obviously, but mainly in busy areas where performance is inherently more taxing to begin with.
I want to stress that this is a problem with my PC and my lack of foresight. A 3080-based PC is already barely able to run this game in 4K60 with "DLSS Quality" so it goes without saying that trying to push for anything more is a fool's errand. Even if it's something that the game desperately needs, such as what this mod provides. If I had a 40 series card, I'd still be using this mod, and plenty of others. But crowded areas started dropping to low 50s or even occasionally upper 40s, and unfortunately VRR doesn't smooth that out the way I would have hoped.
You are aware that the authors providing these mods for free do so in their spare time? Aware they might have Jobs, Family and numerous other RL-responsibilities? Well, there's grass out there, ya know....
I had micro stutters, long before 2.11 or 2.1 (no offence) ... and without NVFloods installed those micro stutters are completely gone (valid for both versions of your mod).
With 2.11 (since we had to get rid of some mods as the bugs were fixed) i decided to start allover from fresh and started testing 4 mods that i had some suspicious things about them, with yours being one of them.
Test was simple (since your mod has no requirements) - no core mods installed !!!
The "light" version 3.4 to 4.1GB of VRAM (that's a lot - considering that this is "light version") The Ultra version 4.9 to even 7GB in some places (not complaining as i have plenty to spare) but the difference between them its not visible to the "naked eye" (maybe i wasn't looking where i should be looking - i will need some guidance for that).
On top of that (like said), the micro stutters are present the moment your mod is installed and in some areas with lots of cars and NPC's its even worse ...
I do understand "how things are working" (being a modder myself) ... but for something that you cant make the difference between light and ultra, i cant explain where the VRAM is going ...
If you got some time to explain the process, please do!
I am more than happy to see and hear some facts from yourself.
I am speechless, it seems that we are not having same mod installed.
Cherry Blossom Market comes second as VRAM usage (in last patch), try City Centre (the big roundabout), try DogTown … and tell me after.
Micro Stutters are everywhere with your mod (not 1 or 2 - as you are saying) and no, they are not related to Intel CPU’s or last patch …
Tested on my wife Ryzen 7 5700x and XTX 7900 and stutters comes with your mod.
I did ask you about some specs as i see no difference between the two versions and got nothing so far, i’ll boot Wkit when i get home and see for myself.
If is using (as you say 500 to 1GB) then, where are the other GB of VRAM are going since i only have your mod installed ?
But, like said, i’ll dig into this when i get home from work.
In V8 Regular lod distance is set to 42 . It's the lowest value possible to remove hair poping . If i go higher there are textures glitches .
In Ultra regular lod distance at 42 and i cranked up everything else (background , cinematics, vehicles ...) I tried different values and didn't notice any bug or stuttering .
Did u notice a higher cpu utilization with teh mod ? Maybe you're cpu limited at some point.
My RIg - 13900KF, 128GB RAM, 4090 Asus Strix OC, Samsung 49'' 5120 x 1440 My wife's - Ryzen 7 5700x, XTX 7900, 64GB RAM, Samsung 32'' G5 3440 x 1440
Both Rigs are running the OS and the Game on separate NVMe's.
Bottleneck is not excluded but if there is any, will be minimal on both of them ... but the thing is that this is not happening (the mini stutters) without your mod on a clean game install, this is what i try to point out and please don't take it as criticism - as its not.
LOD has always been problematic in this game, hence why CDPR cut it off after 1.5.
I just want to understand why the mini stutters and where the VRAM is going ...

High Vram usage .
This is by far the best version if your gpu has enough vram .
At 1440p the vram usage is already close to 12go without any mod . (dlss +RT+ FG)

3080 EVGA with an i9 10900K. Seeing same results. That's WITH the FSR 3 frame gen Mod active with the RT + Path Tracing Mod.
I also agree that this Mod is absolutely essential for this game if you are on a 40 series card. It looks amazing.
Thanks for your feedback
Without any mod at 1440p the Vram usage with dlss,Pt and Fg is close to 12gb.

I have a 7900x3d and everything is fluid .

Dlss quality + PT + FG + RR
Mod installed :
Novalut HDR
Novalut pure Env
Nvflods
10 min run in JIg JIg street + 10 min drive around the city .
I added 20 min drive with Ultra
No mod : 13212 MB
V8 : 13728 MB
Ultra : 14287 MB
I had 1 or 2 stutters per run in JIg JIg street with and without mod .

Edit : Are u using crowd or traffic mods?

High cpu usage because i disabled SMT and i l'm recording in H264
No Vram or stuttering issue
Especially Night City Alive needs such adjust cause motorbikes are part of the traffic.
