Just started new game, new save. I'm few hours in, after the lifepath entry quest and only recently started experiencing FPS drop and eventually game CTDed two times. On a 4090 but having doubts if this mods combination can be realistically handled together.
Any feedback appreciated. It's a great mod otherwise.
In RTSS, there are values like app's usage VRAM and game's total allocated VRAM, one's reporting the true current usage and other how much it reserves for the app which usually can be seen pretty high if you have a lot of VRAM but that's not the value that app's using at that moment.
I have same GPU, I am not using this mod currently. But if you are pairing this mod with any other LOD or Draw distance Mod then use the light version. Ultra performs best when it's the only LOD mod you installed. I my experience the more of these LOD/Draw distance mods you install in your game, the more unstable the game becomes.
How do i install it ? i tried to just put it in game folder, but vram usage in 5gb, and pop in feels the same. my gpu is 5080 16gb, downloaded the ultra version
I started to get a lot of texture bugs in certain areas in Dog Town. Some NPCs looks like they're gliching (Kinda like in the SpiderVerse movies) and V's clothing is T posing in game and in inventory menu... Someone else has this?
If you're using Ultra Plus, try turning down the quality. I had what I assume is a similar issue in some areas with high npc counts. Opening the Ultra plus menu and turning it down from high to med fixes it for me.
If someone hasn't report it yet, here it is! Was testing one of AlexBug cars (due to be released soon) and the car was keep exploding when you call it ... after Bisecting my game, found out that this is the mod causing it !!! Removing it, is fixing the issue. This is the V8 Ultra Version.
Hope that we'll have an answer/fix from the author!
My guy, people running 3090's and 4090's are struggling depending on how high they crank their settings. The 1080 was one a hell of a card in it's day, but in 2025, people still running it need to learn to practice the art of lowered expectations...
turn crowd density to medium if it is on high while also having ultra plus tested with rt+pt pt20 pt21 and even raster do not use ptnext with this at all eventually all it takes is one characters shadow to be bugged to bug em all doesn't matter when could be a the end of a 200 hour playthrough or 30 hours it just depends. do not use any lod distance mod with this it can cause ctd at random events as well try to only have environment and vegetation lod fixes only and have them at their default settings further more some of those mods have extreme settings and they will not work on extreme with pathtracing. sorry grammar sucks tonight. hope this helps.
Ok I was ignoring this mod because people said they got crashes and I hate crashing in this game it's so hard to figure out whats causing it. (its usually vram related even on a 4090 with enough mods its vram 9/10 times guys). But this mod is holy s#*! I wish I had it from the start. Can never go back to how it was and I really fear for the second game never reaching the fidelity of the first because of amazing modders. Thank you!
Edit: I have the mod paired with Low Quality Crowd No More and everyone looks the level of quality of the damn Clouds receptionist in game it's glorious.
The only place I've had to disable the mod is inside Lizzies. This mod (probably in combination with my extensive mod list) ends up spaghettifying a small handfull of NPCs when inside. I suspect the load becomes to high, but the game doesn't crash.
This is on a 4080, but with several mods like increased crowd density and draw distance, Lizzie's Braindances and many more. The mod is still worth it though, even if I have to disable it at this particular location. Never noticed it before updating to 2.21 (from 2.13).
Edit: I suspect it might not play so well with the latest updates. I see a lot of broken shadows and reflections in other areas as well. Pretty sure this didn't happen on 2.13. Still might be some conflict causing this.

High Vram usage .
This is by far the best version if your gpu has enough vram .
- Improved Environment LODs + NextGenDistantLODs
- Improved Vegetation LODs
- Low Quality Crowd No More
