    HALP, the mod broke!!!

ArchiveXL 1.9.0 introduces a breaking change in how node removals are handled, and I need to update all apartment mods to be compatible with the update again. If you're here because the mod stopped working, wait for the next update!

Updated 3/12/24: Heya. I'm Arcadie. I'm helping Mana by taking over some of these declutter mods. Japantown has been updated to remove some items that have slowly been reappearing over the past couple of updates.

Newly Added: A version that removes a whole lot more. Intended for AMM preset builders allowing for way more customized builds.

Hey there! Does this still work with 2.2?

I have the gog version of the game with  2.11 update as everything is set for 2.11 update but this mod doesn't work at all. I tried to install the mod via vortex and manually but it's like the mod doesn't exist. no change whatsoever. not even an error or crash

I literally tried every version of the mod you have, nothing changed

Just to make sure, you dont have any other mods that affect the Japantown Apartment installed, do you? And I'm assuming you already have ArchiveXL installed. Have you tried renaming the file, adding an ! to the beginning to give it load priority?

Edit: Just tested on my own game and both versions work for me, so what I assume may be the issue is having an older copy of this mod installed without realizing it. In your mods folder try searching for Japantown in File Explorer and see if anything else pops up. I tend to save the game files for older versions of my games on my D drive so if absolutely nothing works I can see if I still have the files for 2.11. If I do I can try running it in there to make sure that isn't the issue, but I doubt it is. I don't think the method for world editing changed since 2.0

TBH this is the only mod I ever installed into the game so I never installed any CP2077 mod before. but I got the mod working now which I came back to report

honestly no matter what I did the mod never worked in 2.11 version. so I updated the game to 2.12 (not 2.12a/2.12H1). afterwards I downloaded red4ext_1.24.1 and ArchiveXL-1.12.0 which are the versions works on 2.12 and manually installed them. now the mod works

previously I especially found red4ext and archivexl that should have worked for 2.11 but mod didn't work. IDK but the mod seem to be dependent on whatever 2.12 has

Actually what was dependent on 2.12 are the versions of Red4Ext and ArchiveXL you installed, not this mod. ArchiveXL is a requirement for this mod so thats why it wasn't working. For future reference, you can download previous versions in the files tab under Old Files. Just compare the dates uploaded for the old files to roughly when the version you're currently using came out and try running those. But I'm glad it works now!

    Hi there,

Thanks for making this mod! It's nice to have a blank canvas to customize the apartment and have it cleaner too. I was wondering if you had plans of making a mod that cleans the hallways and lobby of the Japantown apartment building? Not even a full renovation or anything, just removing the trash from the floor. I wish there was some way to do this in game.

      Hey,
no plans to do that, I'm sticking to the inside of the apartment. But if you want to do it yourself, it's not very difficult with the right tools!

I'm SO happy this got updated! I've got a quick question tho, is it normal that there's no .archive mod, and only a .xl mod?

Just a head's up.  Looks like 2.0 has messed up this mod like many others.

I look forward to when you have the time to do that.  This is one of my fave mods.  I love this apartment.  ;)

I love this, and it's not a damn preset. Can you do this for H10?

I tried that and it wasn't working the way I expected it to – the H10 apartment is scattered across a dozen sector files, and the tooling is still a little finicky. I might take another look at it :)

There is a lot in there and not to mention the story memorabilia, but I'd leave all that part alone anyway. The Cleaned apartment mod can stop the story from progressing and you can't view the weapons on the wall. Still a good mod when it want's to work.
Just need to get my props to load properly now.

Yeah, that's exactly the problem - the moment you touch those quest streaming sectors, you risk having side effects. (I don't even know if not touching the quest mods will avoid side effects altogether…) but I guess if you just want to decorate, that's OK :D

It might avoid it. The other mod picks up the Nibbles food bowls and so without food and the clothes basket, there's nothing for Nibbles. You can turn the mod off then on again, then just prop any areas that need propping, like Nibbles floating on the sink. I ended up putting a tin there for him to sit on. But that's all probably better left alone anyway. Any posters can be covered, the rest is nice stuff like the painting, and we gotta have our Scorpion anyway. I'd only get rid of the Toy VR set and the 2 boxes (Meredith and scuba boxes)
  11. Wanna say how grateful I am for everything you did from the start. Some of your stuff has been more than a tremendous help for someone in my condition, so well explained and I can't thank you enough for that. My blessings. <333
