2.0 INFO: Mod needs update TODO: - Need to add missing weapon reload data - Empty reloads are bugged with 2.0, needs fix - Additionally need to fix a bug that messes up the buffer causing some of the bugs that have been reported
Hey, I feel kinda bad for being inactive for this long, sorry everyone. Finally started having slightly more free time in February but first I played through Phantom Liberty before touching any of my mods lol (it was amazing). I'm working on updating my other mod right now, but once that's done I'll update this one as well. All I can say is "soon (tm)", but I'm back at least :)
CET updated but its not working for me don't know if anyone else got it working but yea most likely this mod will need updating like Demi said. Looking forward to seeing the new weapons with this mechanic.
I seem to be having an issue with pump shotguns. If you only fire one round then reload, things seem to get hung up after V inserts the shell and the whole animation just freezes.
Firing two shots, no problem. Empty, no problem. It's strange.
Bit of a small update on this one, with the unique shotgun 'The Headsman', this interruption occurs for every shell loaded, which kind of stinks since the reload is meant to be very quick on it.
Okay, that's weird, that's a Constitutional Arms Tactitican, in which case my reload logic shouldn't trigger. Maybe the custom auto reload logic is producing some unwanted behavior.
I don't have a PC now unfortunately so IDK when I'll get around fixing it, sorry.
just to let you know you got mentioned on juicehead as a mod you should download to enhance the experience. he always chooses the best mods for his recommendations, and he definitely did not miss the mark here either
Hehe, I appreciate the comment but it's quite simple really. I calculate a reload speed based on current frame time and the desired "timestamp" to skip to in the animation to be so fast, that it plays a portion of the reload animation in one frame (which is practically invisible to the player). After I reached a desired point in the reload animation (so after this one frame) I reset the reload speed to the original values and the animation continues normally. This is why the sound effects still play for example, because technically the skipped part of the animation is actually not a skip, just really fast, so the game executes the sound effects too.

I get it if there is nothing or if you don't reply you don't have to I am not owed anything.
But not asking yields nothing so I might as well.
Take your time though. I appreciate you!

Thanks for the kind words, hope you enjoy!
