CTDs should be fixed! If you continue to have issues please let me know!
On a personal note: Thank you for your patience with this fix π Health issues are much better now so I'll be doing a better job at keeping up with these mods going forward.
Worked just fine after that without any crashes. That section of items seems to just delete a lot of consumable items and the arcade machine. Perhaps there's a specific culprit in this section of code.
Yes, currently this version causes CTDs. I need to look into the cause and just pray it doesn't involve remaking the whole thing. Unfortunately, atm I'm dealing with a minor health crisis and just haven't had the energy even to open up Notepad++ so please be patient with me on this one!
Yep, you were 100% right. Seems like it was the consumables that caused it. Thanks for the tip! Works fine with the pillows/cables/arcade machines removed.
I'm currently in the process of updating these mods since taking them over for Manavortex. I actually have been having crashing issues at the Glen apartment as well so I will take a look into it as soon as I can. It'll be the top priority. It may be a day or two unfortunately since a chronic health issue decided to kick my ass today π Thanks for the heads up!
Just so I know, do you have any of the optional files installed as well, or just the main file?
If you are having CTD issues with this mod installed please reply to this to let me know! I'm currently in the process of updating these apartment mods since taking the reigns from Manavortex and looking into this is the top priority.
Getting Crash to desktop with this installed (done install with Vortex MM) on 2.12a. I get to the apartment (having never brought it), buy it, go up lift, doors open and I see it looking cleared out (I think) and the prompt comes up saying I've brought the place (hit c to close the popup). As soon as I do that's when the crash to desktop happens. Can say running the h-10 V orig apartment cleanup and thats fine, so it isn't cleanup mods per-se that aint working. Not sure if that helps at all but yeah. Thanks.
Thank you for the info! I'm definitely gonna have to work on this one this afternoon and see if I can find the culprit causing the issue. I've been crazy sick lately but finally feeling a bit today so I plan to look at it in a bit. Hoping its an easy fix and doesn't need to be rebuilt by hand π€ Mana originally built this mod using a script. It's all by hand when I work on it (manually inputting info into the xl line by line) cause I'm no coder. That'd be a ton of work! May check with Mana about hiding the mod for the time being too.
Hi, i just wanna report that the Glen apartment is so clean now, i love it. but the shower head got removed in the process and if i try to use it, it just crashes my game. i don't know if that is a known issue or not, but if it is, is there a fix for it by chance?
For me, i don't have any other mods that modify apartments aside from AMM and your clean up mod. I tried rolling back to an earlier version of your mod, which is 2.1.0 and the shower is fixed in that version. i have not tried using the sink however. i'll try out the sink later.
I just hit my head very unceremoniously at the arcade machine in the Glen apartment. I can't figure out why it reappeared. Index is still 188 and the streamingsector is also the same, but there it stands in all its glory. It's the only thing that reappeared after updating to 2.11. π€·ββοΈ
Awesome, thanks. :) And my apologies. I seemed to have missed on my first round after running into the arcade machine that the pillows on the bed are back, too?
I could use a hand. At first the new version crashed to desktop when I was trying to load a save that was made while inside the apartment, or when I tried to enter the apartment. Thought maybe it had to do with me removing the arcade with AMM. Got the machine back, and I could enter the apartment again. Yay. But now I can't take a shower. But I didn't do anything with the shower. Help? π
Hey, I nuked both the arcade and the pillows. I'm not sure if AMM despawn plays nice with world sectors⦠and I have no idea what's up with the shower. Can you check if it's due to the cleanup mod? Maybe I deleted a node too much.
Also, sorry for ignoring your last entry, the Nexus notifications aren't 100% reliable :/
I am so sorry. I got so busy with other stuff and totally forgot about this. π
But I had to clean my installation and reinstall mods today and, by some cosmical miracle, my brain was "Hey, remember the clean-up mod and the shower?". Now it's telling me. Oh, well. Anyways, with only the core mods installed and no AMM shenanigans whatsoever, it crashes when trying to use the shower. π¬
ArchiveXL 1.9.0 introduces a breaking change in how node removals are handled, and I need to update all apartment mods to be compatible with the update again. If you're here because the mod stopped working, wait for the next update!
The same thing was bugging me, and maybe this isn't the ideal fix, but I used AMM to put a little light up in the ceiling right above the weapon stash wall. Now they are nice and visible.
OMG YES! Thank you so much for this! Were you thinking of doing other apartments, as well? Japantown and Northside could definitely also use the declutter!
Is it the game streamingsector files replacer? If it is you should warn users about the risk of using it with any other game version than the one you used to extract and edit the files. Mismatched game version streamingsector files may cause unpredictable results including damaging quests beyond repair. These volume files are not only frequently updated by the game developer but also generated automatically for each game version/patch, meaning that even if there is no real changes to some location, the new game files contents may still not match the old ones.
I figured the risk for that was zero, given that the sectors I added don't ave any associated quest data (they're literally only the apartment). Do you have any additional information?
Did you add new streamingsector files or edited existing files? If existing files: - have you compared it to previous game versions for node data changes? - do the files contain nodeRefs? - how do you know if they don't contain something that is indirectly related to quests? Like doors or a passageway allowing to pass through a sector on a path to some other quest related location? Or sealed doors that will be opened in the next game version to allow passage? - how do you know future game versions won't add something quest related to these locations? - how do you know the future files won't be sliced differently so the edited files won't match anymore? There is always a risk of creating incompatibility with other game versions when editing the game streaming sector files. And moreover: users cannot prevent it if they're not aware of it. They cannot even learn it. They may not even realize a quest did not trigger or they cannot complete a quest due to such edits. That's one of reason I stopped publishing mods using edited game streamingsector files. Maybe if ArchiveXL will allow to replace a selected node instead of hundreds or thousands of nodes stored in a file just to make a change to just a single world element I would return to this kind of modding.

The two files have less than a thousand nodes in total. I think you're vastly overestimating the impact of this.
Yeah, the intended purpose is for decorating with AMM (or maybe your OC is just fastidiously tidy and likes minimalism?)
