Question: if I wanted to do the opposite (add the leather creaking to a mod addedjacket like many do in vanilla) what would I have to do do get that? Thank you!
No idea, sorry. This mod is already pretty hacky in how it works to be honest, and I never looked into adding sounds. But I imagine it would be a completely different beast.
Works fine on 2.21 what a life saver, had that vanilla audio bug (made worse by enabling streaming precache) in some situations, moving the mouse or V resulted in so extreme noise
Nope, if you're wearing modded shoes (namely ArchiveXL shoes), then this is a bug with those, not anything my mod does. All shoes that weren't in the game originally suffer from barefoot sounds until you put them on/off a few times (unfortunately this has to be done every time you get the bug). And even then it might not work because the shoe mod might not be set up to have a correct shoe noise lol.
TL;DR: My mod doesn't change any footstep sounds at all.
someone made a 'mute vehicle gear shift' mod but it won't work together with this. it overrides your mod. i'm gonna stick with yours since it's a more regularly occurring annoying sound, but i hope someday both mods can work together! thank you for this, btw. necessary mod i didn't know i needed! cannot play without now 😁
I hope there comes a day when this excellent mod can co-exist with the Mute Vehicle Gear Shift mod. Both are very important for someone like me who finds certain sounds in the game extremely aggravating, especially after several playthroughs.
I am looking for a quieter footsteps mod. The in-game noise when I walk is really irritating. I want it to be minimal. Its kind of driving me nuts. Any help would be very much appreciated
Unfortunately I have no idea how to do that xD Muting stuff is one thing, I basically just made it so the sound events can't find the actual sound lol. But changing the volume of something? No clue. You could try asking around in the Cyberpunk Modding Community discord server, namely in the #audio channel or drop a request in #mod-requests or #mod-commissions if you don't mind paying someone to make it.

No fix from the Devs yet, but thankfully this worked like a charm.
Excellent mod, thank you very much.
Became I'm pretty sure he's making the barefooted duck walk noise.

Confirming it still works on version 2.12 as well.
