Gangs of Night City is a Cyberscript based mod that focuses on the lacking elements within Cyberpunk 2077. In name, I refer to the Gangs in Night City. This Mod will address small things, spice up the gameplay more, and... well just read below :) READ DESCRIPTION

THIS IS A MOD INTENDED FOR A FINISHED PLAY-THROUGH OR AN ALMOST-FINISHED PLAY-THROUGH. USING THIS MOD IN THE EARLY GAME WILL DISRUPT YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH CERTAIN AREAS.

What does this mod even have???

- Gang Roleplay for The fans of immersion.
- Stronghold spots that rewards 1 of 40 random shards with small gang conversations, increasing the world building element.
- 100s of custom placed Gang npcs across all of night city. CURRENT TOTAL= 949 NPCs to discover.......and zero if you want.
- An Ally detection system, once a player has joined a faction.
- The ability to join a gang through their own eyes with a new Omni-gang Braindance Wreath. Just go to any of your apartments' armory rooms to have the Dialog pop up.
- An Optional custom setting to enable an all out gang war with settings you can tweak to make it more chaotic or less chaotic. This can kill framerate if your PC is a potato, even an rtx 2080s paired with a 3900x processor can start sweatin' if you maxed out the spawn amount and keep the spawn interval very low.|

NEW:
- Adjusted- The market, lot, mall, and Metro fights/hitman events will spawn whenever they want too based off an RNG roll. This is changed to make it seem you just stumble upon something while traversing the city.
- The most notable districts things can happen is Northside (has 2 random events to see). The Metro stations at Heywood, Domingo, and Hospital, ONCE YOU ARRIVE AT THESE LOCATIONS VIA TAKING THE METRO FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE, are Primed to have a Hitman be there for their rival gang member. This functions way better if you are in a gang. It's actually intended for you to be in a gang. - Adjusted- Brawl spots have a timer for when they can re-appear for better handling on chaos around you.
- Adjusted- IF you are using cyberscript HUD addon, and you see the gang affinity list on screen, I changed the wording on them to better make sense of the relations. So there is an additional file added to this update that just changes THAT only. nothing else. Game still works, framework still works.
- Adjusted- Enemies that aren't entirely Dead shouldn't be walking as much anymore. I set a dilation effect on them and dead npcs so you SHOULDN'T see that silly little thing AS much. Like barely.....hopefully. Still testing this out more and more
- Adjusted- Big adjustments to how to go into a gang, via the BD method made. No longer is there a UI pop up. Instead, just walk into the armory of your apartments, and the Dialog choice select will just show now. Be sure to not overlap the dialog with any vanilla prompts such as opening your stash etc. Make sure you have Cyberscript Animation Archive installed or else the animations will not play. However the script will still do it's thing but will just look silly and awkward.
- Adjusted- The global ally check for friendly gang members has been re-done. Now it doesn't mess with performance and is much more responsive. In regards to the "They will remember you" mod, Sometimes the friendly gang members will turn enemy to you but my script will constantly override that so you may see friendlies pop in and out of friendly state time to time, depending how you've been playing around gangs.
- NEW- Added new hit jobs. The way this works is if you see ANY friendly gang member, go up to them and look at them. A new interact prompt "take a hit job" will appear. They will mark your map with where you should go, there's 3 types of hit jobs that are randomly selected. One is more nearby to you, One is like the bounty gig type from the bounty event system. The other is Heywood exclusive FOR NOW, that is a WIP. (sometimes the script can't find a spot and that's ok, just find another gang member somewhere else.) (Big Note: Heywood has a special hit job where you can find a target sitting down somewhere. This type isn't complete yet because I plan to do The entire city for this so it is gonna take a good amount of time to get right and complete. If you notice a spot where an npc is not seated, my fault. I didn't complete that coordinate yet. Again you will need Cyberscript Animation Archive for that specific type to function as intended.)
- NEW(please read)- Long requested addition to Fact check for the players who are using this mod with a new playthrough. I wanted to make it much more interesting and crazy by adding additional spawns and functionalities for everyone that's been waiting as a "thank you" but I didn't get too far with that part (real life things and other interest took over my focus for a bit). the rescue and the pickup were the main ones touched up on. HOWEVER.... You can now enjoy your mid playthrough without disruptions as I have now placed a fact check for a script that spawns gangs into the crowds automatically. Now, you HAVE to have the Final mission active in order to have gangs spawn in crowds now. So no more constant spawning and fighting while you're doing stuff. Feedback on your experience with this is appreciated and encouraged a lot because I may have oversighted some things and missed checks or spots that needed this fact check. Dogtown has spawn spots for gangs to spawn but again, the Final mission for the vanilla game has to be active in order for this specific script to activate. (Reminder the gang wars and the other events that randomly spawn like car chases are entirely on the player to turn on or adjust the settings in the mod settings section for this mod, as well as adjusting the ambush frequency timer in the cyberscript settings, also in mod settings.)
-Made adjustments to the frequency of this script that spawns gangs in crowds. Less chaotic, but gradually get chaotic. Pair this mod with every other gang mod there is and it's a wild ride.
- I plan to make early-mid playthrough additions and adjustments to spice up your playthrough as time goes on. Open to suggestions on missions and what you might want. I aim to add spawns that compliment Enemies of Night City to further enhance your strategies while fighting enemies.
I am running this new build on the current cyberscript build and all it's dependencies that did get updates for Patch 2.3. So far, I haven't had any gameplay impacting issues. Crashes only occured from outdated mods within my archive folder. So be diligent and make sure most of your mods are up to date or tossed to the side if they aren't :)
- WHAT'S NEXT?!:
-Add Conversations between your allied gang members to further show off the narrative. (STILL PLANNED)
-Add more interaction via texting with your gang members and leaders. (STILL PLANNED)
-New events that make the player more involved with other factions and relations between those factions. Build up a rep with others etc. MAYBE I fiddle around with romancing ideas.... Outlandish idea but we shall see if this idea gains any interest down the road. (STILL IN CONCEPT) (WIP)
-Make Clubs have combat enabled and make events within the clubs, using removal editor. Like a Kill bill Vol. 1 fight :)
-Utilize World Builder to create bases and other spots for fights and hit jobs.
-Gang Role-Play:

- Using the BD, selecting a gang will teleport you to a new location where a gang member would be chilling at. You are greeted (should be) with two messages, that have a conversation hooked to them but opening the phone will just show the two messages from your Gang Leader. HAVE CYBERSCRIPT ANIMATION ARCHIVE INSTALLED FOR ANIMATIONS PLEASE.
- Upon being apart of a gang (and this will go for Barghest and Afterlife Mercs.) You will unlock new events that will or will not happen. For instance, you may get ambushed by 1-20 rival members, running at you in a surrounding formation. You can set the spawn count multiplier this way in the Gangs of Night City settings section in the mods section of the pause menu. Another event you unlock is a car full of gang members chase you down....or a mini boss on a motorcycle tries to get ya.
- Side note, if you just wanna go killin' gang members freely, head to a gun store, there will be a security guard at all 14 gun stores. Look at them, a dialog will pop up. If you're familiar with my Lives of Night City mod, it's basically the "Quota" missions you get from cops to go and take care of some gonks. This time, it's just "Go here, kill them, loot, leave." (THIS FEATURE LOWKEY STILL KINDA SUCKS, I'll MAKE IT BETTER SOON.)
- The NEW global(ish) ally check script will start goin off when there's any kind of gang member within 60 meters of you and will check through each gang around you to see if your allies are around. It will change them quickly. If you have a theoretical 50+ gang members in your radius, and are your allies, half of them will be friendly, just give it a literal half or 1 second, and the others will turn friendly as well. (I do need to make wyvern drones apart of this. oops.) (Also works with Vanilla gang spawns)
- Stronghold activities for players who aren't in a gang. you can stumble upon them in northside or a few spots in Santo Domingo. You'll get a message from the NCPD about it. Go take out the enemies, get a cool random shard that gives some world building elements.
- CUSTOM NPCs Vs. Gang war spawns:

-There's 949 spawns for custom placed npcs. Their triggers are all on specific time frames. Majority of the time frames are the same and randomized.
-Brawl spawns all trigger after 7pm, in-game. there's more than 60+ of these spread across the city. Dogtown doesn't have this yet(emphasis on yet. 2025). Some brawl spawns have more than 3 of them at once in one big area so it's a more controlled space. Lookin' at you , Northside!
-This should satiate player's desire for chaotic moments but not too chaotic.
GANG WARs
------------------------
-Turning on the setting "activate gang wars" or "activate lore wars" in "cyberscript custom settings" will have a script play at around 9pm-midnight, in game. You can negate this time frame by ticking the "gang war last all day" setting so it's 24 hour gang wars.
-Players can set a min and max second(s) interval to their preferences for when the script should call spawns in.
-Players can set the spawn level all these npcs spawn into.
-Alongside the new weather type settings, to change it back to default if you didn't want the rain or the other types to be on..just slide the type slider all the way to 7 for default sunny vibes.
-Players can set the amount of npc spawn in one spot, per script call. This gives you a chaos-level-escalation choice. Do you want subtle build up of fights? or do you want just straight chaos in your face? your choice. Just be mindful of your PC specs. please.
EVENTS:
----------
- Hooked on Cyberscript's Ambush timer, located in Cyberscript Settings.
- Regular poi's are generally found more in the bigger crowd areas or small lookin' areas of interest and intrigue.
- Specifically THE Actual AMBUSH event, you will need to be in range of a regular POI but the enemies mainly spawn around you within 50 meters. they will spawn in the pois in that radius and run towards you . Reminder you need to be in a gang for this particular event.
BARGHEST AND AFTERLIFE JOINING: ( as of update 6.4 of this mod, I am making adjustments to this for next update so it's better. You could still do all this stuff but it lowkey might be janky.)

-Alright pay attention to this.
-TO JOIN AFTERLIFE: KILL 20 Maelstrom, 20 Scavs, and 10 Arasaka members.
-After this is done, a person will send you a text. There is a bug regarding the action list keeps on triggering if you keep goin to your phone. Thankfully, I am testing out a new candidate build for Cyberscript and this issue is fixed on there. So stay tuned for that and don't hate me.
TO JOIN BARGHEST: KILL 20 Scavengers, and 20 VOODOOBOY members. I was gonna do NUSA bots too but they have that lame auto friendly behavior like mox. Hard to trick that one but i'll see.
After that is done, a member will text you. A pin will be placed on your map, inside dogtown. It's a spiked club with a green-yellow tint to it. Go there. A member will start talkin' to you.
-Joining either faction does still grant new events just for you as a job well done for getting your feet wet with blood in this gang war. Also the #call for backup interaction in the phone menu will be enabled.
-IF YOU CALL FOR BACKUP, AND WANNA RIDE WITH YOUR CHOOMS. I made a script to detect when you're in a car and i seat your friends in different seats. PLEASE USE A 4 CAR DOOR if you plan to ride with them. Please.
PER PATCH 2.3: I Didn't test the whole johnny passenger feature with this part. So don't send me a bug report. I never tested it :)
INSTRUCTIONS POST 6.4-CLEAN INSTALLATION IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. You can either ignore the lack of an r6 folder in the build or delete it for now.

-Download mod, manually.OR WITH VORTEX.
-Unzip the newly downloaded folder. Inside that folder you will see "bin" and "r6" folders. PER BUILD 6.4, NO R6 Folder present. That's alright. Just keep following directions. ignore any direction that talks about an r6 folder for now.
-Highlight, select the two (Now one) folder(s), click and drag over the folder(s), which ever you wanna do. drag those two folders to \cyberpunk2077 folder. This is considered the "Directory" folder.
-Once the game is loaded, load a save. Once in your world, Pause the game. Go to "mods". Find "Gangs of Night City". This is the indicator that the mod is successfully loaded in your game, you have settings in this section lol.
-If you need to set a custom interact key. Find "cyberscript custom keybindings" or whatever Donk named it, and go from there. Self-explanatory for that.
